Since he played well in Boston, it looks like Mago has his confidence back and is ready to start contributing at a high level. In the last six games he's averaging 17.5 points, shooting 48%. We're 4-2 during that stretch.
I hope so. Right now, he's playing better than he did last year. He's scoring all over the floor and, last night in particular, is showing great chemistry with Chris Bosh. His D is improving and he just has to keep working on his rebounding and toughness.
he's a lot tougher this year and sure is trying harder to hit the glass or at least think about being around for rebounds.
Hes really turned a corner IMO, he is shooting the ball well and really driving hard to the basket. What impresses me about his drives is his ability to change direction while cutting through the traffic, I remember last season and even early on in the season when he drove to the basket he would usually be caught with his head down and sometimes commit an offensive foul but now it looks like he is improving on that.
i love Bargnani i think he will be an amazing pro, while helping to turn the raps into THE team in the east in a few years, this stretch couldn't come at a better time, he'll get a lot of minutes during this time (pending serious foul trouble)
I'm a supporter, but at this stage he's just back where we all saw him play last year. What I'm looking for is development, (rebounding, inside scoring etc) not just confirmation of what I already knew.

Its funny how it took him about a week or so to bump his averages up to where they were last season. However, I do notice him being a lot more comfortable down low and his dribble-drive is a lot less predictable now. Hopefully he keeps working on his defense and actually jumps for rebounds at some point. btw, Welcome to S2!

I've seen him play more aggressive and I find he has been putting the ball on the floor and finishing inside better than he did last year. Welcome to S2, I glad to see you made it over here.

I agree he is looking a little more confident down low and in the lane. But I still expect a more from the centre of the future. He just seems to lack the desire to go up and grab boards sometimes; He's in position, he has his man sealed but he just watches someone else grab it. Just odd. Offensively I'm not as concerned, because I think his skills present all kinds of mismatches. I would just like to see him crash the offensive glass sometimes. I can't stand these possessions where no player in a raptors jersey comes within 15 feet of the basket. Drives me insane.
Yea, I agree. Part of it has to do with our offense, IMO, because there'll be possession where everyone is by the 3 pt. line waiting for Bosh to do his thing. But, I expect a better effort from him. I don't know if anybody else has noticed this, but do you find that the guards miss him a lot? There'll be occasions where he establishes position and the guards either give him the ball late or not at all. And finally, I think we have to kind of be more realistic about this when we say Bargs will be our center. In reality, I think we have two players, in Andrea and Bosh, that are F/C's. Both are really power forwards, but (hopefully) both have the strength, ability, and size to hang with NBA 5's and can spot minutes at that spot when needed. Right now, I like how the Raps can let them defend the players who they're better suited for. Bosh takes the quicker players with better shooting range, because he's got better lateral quickness and is more athletic. Bargnani takes the stronger players who play closer to the basket, because he's a better fundamental defender and has a longer reach.
