Sam Smith says he wouldn't make us a champion. I think this is incredibly short-sighted. Give the Bulls a year with him to regroup, add a guard, find a top flight coach and let Noah develop, and let Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant age, and I don't see why he couldn't be the guy to put us over the top. I don't see why the "final piece" necessarily has to be the literal last one added to the team.
I despise agreeing with Sam Smith, however, the Bulls are still hampered by a poor front office. The Bulls would certainly be better, but I have no doubts with Paxson in charge that they would still be fundamentally flawed.

That article pissed me off. I thought it was one biased, unsubstantiated stance after another. I think Sam Smith is playing devil's advocate with his readers because it's more interesting for him, and it also generates more hits and more discussion.
