<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'> Swift Won’t Make His Net Debut Tonight February 5, 2008, 1:06 pm Stromile Swift arrived in New Jersey on Monday and was at shootaround Tuesday morning, but he’ll likely be on the inactive list for Tuesday’s game against the Lakers and possibly for Wednesday’s game in Orlando. Whenever he does put on a Nets uniform for the first time, Swift will be wearing No. 6. Come on Frank and L is an L. Let the guy get his feet wet with live ammo. It doesn't help just sitting his ass on the bench.
So let me understand this. You folks want Frank to put out on the court a notoriously dumb player that won't have a bloody clue about where he is suppose to be on the court because he can dunk. Boki can shoot and is Einstein compared to Swift and he sat on the bench after being acquired.
Frank holds up the trade because we were down bigs over the weekend.....yet since we're still short, he doesn't play him, smart way to hold up the trade.

Had nothing to do with playing Swift.

Having a runner alongside Kidd can energize the team. He's a vet.

Swift won't change Kidd's mind.

Sheesh. I can't wait till Swift plays, so I can point out how dumb he is. Really, I want there to be some sort of a contest or a bet to see who is dumber, Swift or Allen.

Swift's actually been a double digit scorer in the league and they could use his athleticism against the Lakes, a team that puts up a lot more points than the Nets. And seriously, how difficult is the Nets offense? It's pick and roles, a few down screens, some isos for RJ and Vince and little else. There's a reason we only score 93 points a game. Plus Swift's pretty familiar with Gasol's moves after about 5 years of going against him in practice. It's another stubborn move from Frank and that's it. Maybe they'll be a candle lighting ceremony for Collins and Frank will give a eulogy. There could even be a 30-40 second montage that highlights all of Collins baskets made while a Net. Or maybe 20-seconds...
