I figured I might as well start this thread so we can keep a lot of the Gasol talk in one place. Anyways, just use this thread to talk about Gasol's first couple of games with the Lakers. I'll see if I can gather up his stats for his first couple of games, and update it on my first post.

So far tonight, Gasol's having a pretty good first game with the Lakers, despite barely knowing a thing about the triangle offense. The game isn't over yet, but so far, he is shooting 8-13 with 19 points, 10 boards, and shot 3-3 from the free throw line in 30 minutes of play.

Gasol with 24 and 10, wow this guy is for real!

He started out slow getting in foul trouble.

Finally the 20/10 guy we've been wanting. I expect him to put up similar numbers like this for the rest of the year. If Gasol wasn't here today, the Lakers would've lost.

Figures Kobe would get hurt in Gasol's first game, though.

He said he couldn't feel his hand when he touched the ball.

Thats why he was contained to 6 points.

Dislocated his pinky or something. He'll have X-Rays tomorrow I believe, but it shouldn't be too serious.

Kobe after the game, interrupting Jonnie Irish's interview with Gasol: "Si, Si! Me guuuuuuuusta!"

    Right there with you, Kobe.

    ^^LMAO great sig Jumpman!

Anyone impressed at how comfortable Gasol looked out there on the court? The no look behind the back pass to Fisher was text book Triangle offense, damn that was beautiful to watch.

Gasol learned the offense in 1 practice, I'm telling you it's not rocket science just common sense and good knowledge of fundamental hoops.

We're now 3-1 on our current road trip and 6-5 without Bynum.

Our defense looked a lot better tonight and the rotations where crisp.

    Great opener for Gasol!

Kobe has more turnovers than points and we win by 15, you gotta love that!

Kobe sounded like a giddy lil school girl lol.
He was jumping up and down throughout the game, smiling, and seemed ecstatic in the post game interview.
