First of all, Kidd didn't play bad defense on Fisher. He just plain old didn't play defense on him, and left him wide open at every moment possible. And second of all, it wasn't just Kidd. Carter was leaving him open left and right, letting him get to the basket whenever he felt like it. Really, it was a matter of effort, of which Carter and Kidd gave none when it came to guarding Fish. On the other hand, they played some good defense on Kobe. It wasn't just that he was having an off night, they seemed to really hound him.

The nets don't owe him anything, he gets paid to play a game for a living. He has no right to quit on this organization. He's not a GM but a player. Adding Vince to the team instead of KMart actually was the right move. I'll take a 20pt 4rebound 4 assist Vince over an 11pt, 8 rebound Martin anyday. Kidd and the other athletes of the 2000s seem to feel that if they're in a bad situation they'd rather be part of the problem then the solution. NBA players today have no pride and are only concerned with their individual goals and money for the most part. I don't mind them trying to get their money but for players to throw entire teams and coaches under the bus for their personal gain is just not right. I miss the players from the 70s. the Superstar system is great but only when you have athletes that respect others. Clearly JKidd has shown time and time again that he has a lack of respect for anyone but himself in my honest opinion.

Sure, vince can drop 30 on any given night, but that doesn't guarantee a win, and doesn't promote consistency at all, unless he drops 30 every game (which he doesn't). He plays poor defense, and lowers the level of team defense. Kenyon, on the other hand, creates great team defense. He leads the team on defense, blocks shots, and rebounds, and therefore prevents the other team from scoring a high number of points, thereby negating the fact that he can't score as many points. I'd take Kenyon over Vince any day of the week. Even if Kmart was injured for a year or two, imagine if we had him now...this team would most definitely be better than 20-28.

What Kenyon brings defensively, will be there every night. VC can have a cold shooting night and if you're depending on 25 from him to win, you won't win. KMart will shutdown the other team's best offensive player, he brings a swagger few in this league have. Just like Kidd in his hey day, Kenyon's worth is not limited to the stat sheet.

They are going to be playing well for a while now. When a team gets blown out like that, you have to blame all of the players.
I have been syaing thos forever, if Kidd gets his extension, he will be happy. he realizes he cant win a title and has given up on that goal with this team, if thorn gives him his extension, kidd will not speak

Otherwise, no need to make anymore big moves.
