    From ArizonzSportsFan.com

    PHX 32 - F**k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TJ UofA2004 - Wheres Bryan Colangelo when you need him

Left - I have backed Kerr so far but if this trade goes through, I say he needs to go and Sarver could follow him also.

HooverDam - Christ, I can't believe this may actually be happening. I feel like I'm going to cry.

I can't believe the Suns F.O. would think their a latter day Oliver Miller away from a title, thats depressing.

Captain Insano - Dear god, please hear my plea today.

I have made it a goal in my life to not ask for stupid, pedantic things of you when there are people suffering and starving in the world.

But today, something terrible might happen. Truely terrible.

Please god, make this trade either not be completely terrible, or have it just not happen. Either will do.

    Thank you,

    amen.

Divide Et Impera - Eff it! I'm all in. The team ain't gonna win jack as is, so maybe this is a worthy gamble. Keep in mind that the greatest true C we've had the last 18 years was Mark West.

    Nash-DJ
    Bell-Barbs
    Hill-Diaw
    Stoudemire
    O'Neal-Skinner

Why not? O'Neal forces the double or triple on the block and Amare or Hill slashes in for a dunk courtesy of a Shaq pass or he kicks it to Nash or Bell spotting for a 3....

Oh man, I love it! We've created a massive panic in the Western Conference. Shaq is the best they could do? He's a good role player, but they're losing talent in Marion. Terrible trade IMO.

I now expect Dallas to trade for Kidd by the deadline.

Maybe we can scare everyone again and go after Artest!

LOL it's a domino effect for sure. I read in the Nets Forum the Mavs were going to give up Josh Howard for Shaq. At this point I don't think Dallas benefits much if they acquire Kidd because they would lose Diop or Dampier and they will need those two if the Mavs meet us or Phoenix in the playoffs.

I wonder if the Spurs do any major trades after these two recent blockbusters? They aren't exactly dominating teams like they were earlier in the year and they have injury concerns for Tony Parker.

They have some trade pieces to acquire another guy and I wouldn't be surprised if they are the next to pull off a big trade.

And if the Nets actually pull out a good trade because of the Lakers and Suns, then us Nets fans owe you a thanks.

I don't think this trade makes sense to anybody in the league. I can't wait to see Steven A. Smith's reaction to this, should be a classic.

Who is out there for the Spurs to target, Shape? Artest?

Maybe Phoenix was just thinking playoffs..? That's always possible.

Who knows, maybe they'll limit Shaq to 20 mins during the regular season. And save him for the playoffs, where they'll need real big men like him. It's possible.

I've heard Kerr has wanted to slow down the pace of the Suns for a while, whereas the coaching staff did not (to improve their defense).

This is a stupid move, Marion's more productive offensively and his contract could have come off after the season. Kerr is just starting his tenure there and it shows.

Do we need to target anyone anymore? Our roster looks set for this season at least. Odom has put together to back to back productive games for us now.

Artest would be an upgrade at SF for us, but he's too much of a risk now and I don't think the Lakers want to take any chances. Artest is too, much of a wild card and the Kings would want extra for him if they agreed to trade him to LA.

The team just needs to get healthy and stay healthy the rest of the way and we'll be fine.

I just thought of something .. this is too good ..

What would be better than avenging the past two years and knocking the Suns out of the playoffs? Knocking the Suns AND Shaq out of the playoffs !!!

They could have had Kevin Garnett for Shawn Marion, but Marion said he didn't want to be part of any rebuilding again and threatened to opt out.

I wonder if the Suns ever considered trading Marion for Gasol?

    Haha talk about completely mis-reading.

I'm not sure who the Spurs will target maybe Kurt Thomas?

Typical Shaq. When the going gets tough, Shaq gets going. That's 3 for 3 teams, for those keeping score.

He's the Kobe the media wanted Kobe to be, basically, but he doesn't get an ounce of criticism. Lame.

I wonder how he'll get along with Steve Nash. He downplayed Nash winning the MVP trophy from him. I don't think they are fond of one another.

D'Antoni and Kerr have been fighting behind the scenes about the direction of the team. With Kerr getting his way I wonder if D'Antoni starts exploring his options.

Bottom line -- Shaq could end up ruining another franchise.

I wouldn't put this ruining on Shaq, if in fact it is ruined. D'antoni is a bitch. He doesn't know how to coach. He knows one style of basketball...run and gun. Kerr's got the right idea about going towards a more half-court type of game, but D'Antoni can't coach that.

As much as I dislike the Suns, I think this is a good trade for them. This is a gamble they are taking; huge upside and huge downside and no way to know which one is actually going to happen. The Suns know they are not going anywhere this year with their current roster, and the clock is ticking on their team. So what the hack… roll the dice! This trade makes me worried as a Laker fan since right now I am confident we can beat the Suns, after the trade… it remains to be seen.
