<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Toronto Raptors' Jason Kapono will defend his title in this year?€™s Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout, which will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, at New Orleans Arena as part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night. Kapono will attempt to become the first back-to-back winner of the Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout since Peja Stojakovic won the 2002 and 2003 titles. Stojakovic will return to the competition representing the hometown New Orleans Hornets for the first time since finishing as runner-up in the 2004 competition. Stojakovic and Kapono will be joined by Western Conference starter and 10-time All-Star Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers , Daniel Gibson of the Cleveland Cavaliers , Richard Hamilton of the Detroit Pistons and two-time MVP Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns.</div> Source Interesting. I wanted Eddie House and his quick release in there badly. I also think after snubbing Hedo in the All-Star game, you have to put him in this.
hm. it's really interesting to see Kobe in this. He definitely has one of the most ridiculous shooting ranges in the league, but i'm not too sure. i'll root for him anyways.
Has Anthony Parker turned them down twice? I've heard that rumour, but I'm not sure. If not, he's the perfect candidate for this.
Why is Rip in this? That makes absolutely no sense. Sheed, Tay and Chauncey are all better 3 point shooters, why wouldn't you ask them?
I think Hedo should've been in the contest over Rip Hedo deserves something. Can't wait to see Kobe in this, I get to watch all 82 games here in SoCal and sometimes his shooting can be hot, while others it isn't, but this time around there won't be a defender besides the clock. So excited. It's also nice seeing Peja back in there, miss his shooting.
BOOBIE 4 THREE!!!! Any player whose fans t-shirts read "got boobie?" automatically wins On a serious note, though, it will probably be between Kapono and Bryant for the title.
I have never once been excited for the 3 Point Shootout. With Nash, Peja and Kobe should make for the most hyped contest in the last 5 years or so. At the end of the day though, its still not that cool, haha.
Should be an interesting contest this year. And honestly, I think Kobe might be the darkhorse for this. He, by no means, is a pure shooter. However, we've all seen what happens when he gets hot, and if he can get in rhythm quickly, he could win the competition.
