I'm a pretty skeptic, here. Have they already gave up on A.I?

This trade doesn't make sense...and neither does that Kidd for Odumb and Mihm trade

Maybe Iverson said he was going to opt out and head elsewhere.

I actually recall him saying that he wanted to opt out and then sign long-term with Denver.

That doesn't make much sense to me. If I'm the Nets I'd consider something that'd get me back Nene and Najera's expiring contract, and Kleiza. Sure it's not a huge expiring deal, but come next season they're only paying Nene $9M or so instead of the $20M they'd be paying Kidd.

Yeah, but Nene sucks. He's injury prone, isn't that good when not injured, and his contract is godawful.

Even if we don't trade Kidd this season, then in the Summer, or next season, we'd have a little greater of a chance, considering he'd turn into an expiring contract. Really, if we can't get anything good for Kidd, I wouldn't be too displeased if we simply held on to him until the end of the season.

AI + Carter? That'll be something to watch. AI was able to mesh with Carmelo (at the time of the trade they were the 1st and 2nd leading scorers in the NBA), so maybe he'll live with Vince?

It would mean we'd get the "AI" fans over here, although I'm sure a lot of the 2002-2004 Nets fans would be around Nuggets boards for a bit (present company included!)

I would absolutly hate the nuggets if they tried pulling this on Iverson. He left philly to be on a team that has a contending chance. Carter is a heartless, over-the-hill dunker, and Jefferson is just o.k. If AI cant take the nuggets all the way, Kidd DEFINITELY wont.

First, I doubt this will actually happen. But regardless, I feel like I have to speak out about your hatred towards Vince. During the past two years, he has had the two highest-scoring seasons by a Net in their history as an NBA franchise. During those years, he put the team on his back and carried it. This year, he's hobbled by an ankle injury that may, in fact, require surgery in the off-season. As for RJ, he is more than just "OK," although he's obviously no star. He's what--sixth in the league in scoring?

Nothing was made of it, like 97% of all rumors you read on the internet.
