I don't care what any "R2MVP" rankings say. Chris Paul is the MVP of the NBA this season. This was an unbelievable game by Chris and a great finish by Peja.
What a game, Paul and Nash going at it. The game was close throughout in the 2nd half, than when we got into OT they just kept trading baskets, in the 2nd OT Barbosa hit a huge three to tie it with 7.1sec to go, I was already getting excited for a 3rd OT, but my Nostradamus senses came in, and I knew someone was gonna hit a huge game-winner. Out of no where Peja makes it at the buzzer, it was bitter sweet cause I wanted to see a 3rd OT, but the Hornets won. Looking at the Suns they played their best playing uptempo, when the tried to play half-court, they were a little off, one thing tho, Shaq will come in and space the court out with his presence, and they have some really good three point shooters that will get open looks from him being on the court. Still they only reason they were scoring inside was cause Tyson Chandler wasn't playing. I'd hate to be a Suns fan last night. 1. Hawks won, so the chances of them getting a lottery pick, keeps getting slimmer. 2. Shaq trade became official, which offically ruins their shot at the championship 3. And they lose to a heartbreaking buzzer-beater at home.
It was an amazingly entertaining game. Of course I'm bummed the Suns lost, but atleast it was fun to watch. Chris Paul did have the better game and it's really cool for me to see a young unselfish point guard, who admires Steve Nash, in MVP talks. Chris Paul has a very bright future, I think the Hornets win is overshadowing Barbosa and Nash's overtime shots, but rightfully so I suppose. These are 2 of the most entertaining teams, cant wait for the 4th match up later this year, ideally with Chandler and Shaq in the line ups. Overall though, awesome game.
