<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Lawrence Frank said if Nenad Krstic, who had three points in his third game since returning from a second rehab stint after left knee surgery, regains his form he could become a starter again.

"That's our plan," Frank said. "We'll see how he plays."

If so, it's likely Sean Williams will become a reserve again.</div>

Smokey has a bright future, but he has been getting abused, right?

That still leaves our boy not-so-Swift out in the cold.

If Sean Williams doesn't play at least 20 mpg the next few games, I'm gonna stop watching the Nets for a while.

I'll still root for them...but you gotta admit, it hurts to watch.

I think I've seen a max of 2 games this season.

Then again, I don't watch sports.

Good news about Krstic though, must be making strides in practice, and management must still have faith in him.

DVR the game and you can watch them suck in fast motion. It actually looks like they're trying if you squint a little.

I don't like this decision, after missing 1 1/2+ seasons Krstic needs to be slowly groomed back into shape and as time goes on he'll eventually be able to take that starting role again but this is too early. As we saw with Arenas, this could end up in Krstic re-injuring himself and having another big set back. Also, Sean Williams should recieve all the experience he can get this season because he's the future, putting him on the bench for a guy who hasn't played in this long is a mistake.

how is that little Opie look alike still coach of this team. My god just fire him already WTF are they waiting for now he's talking about taking Sean's minutes and not letting Stro play but when Twin was here he'd play him for his intangibles 0pts/2 reb/0asst every 4 games !!! oh and Nenad was injured but in Opie's world it doesn't matter if he needs time to get back in shape and play off the bench, no lets throw him into the starting 5 where he hasn't played in for what 9 weeks !

but it's always "American Idol" and "Survivor" and "AMerica's Biggest Loser" and "Amazing Race." I couldn't even record the second half of the Nets/Laker game because the dvr was full! Ruined my nap that night.

Krstic and the Nets have a big decision to make.

He can agree to the qualifying offer, make $2.6 million next season and become a free agent on July 1, 2009 or he can sign with the Nets at what would be a much reduced rate from what he would have gotten before the injury or he can solicit offers for other teams this summer and see if the Nets match.

Of course, he will get big minutes soon. He has to. I wouldnt be surprised to see him start Sunday if he plays well on Friday. He matches up well with the Bobcats and Mavs.

I don't know what he's worth, but i wouldn't be surprised if someone offered him $4 million or more.

If the season ended today, I can't imagine that the nets would exceed the cap to keep him, which would almost certainly happen unless they dealt Kidd for a package including some expiring contracts. So, to a large extent, Krstic's future is probably tied to Kidd's.

The rest of the season will be interesting.

Right now, his best bet is to delay his contract year - especially if the team is rebuilding. He could get a big statistical jump if he has more offensive opportunities.

Of course, he might also be an attractive trade chip considering the financial obligation he would have represented has been greatly reduced.

One is a good idea; and two is a better idea?! The one we have is part of the cable box. Most of the time my wife watches TV while running on the treadmill, so we hooked up a recordable dvd player so we could transfer shows to disk and watch them on the other tvs. The only problems come when she gets behind in transferring to disk, and when she wants to record two shows simultaneously, which prevents me from watching something else.
