Ok I know that we are hard nose fans b/c most of us are from the tri-state area, I really don't think that the situation is as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Carter sucks, yeah this is true but he's got a banged up ankle so it's really not fair. And everyone wants to ship Kidd out when he's been getting more triple double than ever before. Ok so that's two negatives, here's the positives. RJ has really stepped up as a monster in Carter's absence. Carter is actually playing good defense. Wright is playing better. Boki is a beast from time to time depending on how many minutes he gets from our terrible coach. DA has been a spark off the bench that we need sometimes. Williams & Boone have surprised many. Marcus is comming along. We do have Magloire for the playoffs just to rough people up. Malik shows signs of being able to strech the defense. Nenad is comming back and might be able to provide that 15pts a game we need that he has given us in previous seasons. And who knows Stromile Swift might be a monster with Kidd on the floor. Plus as bad as our record is, we still have veterans with every intention to win a title. Yes, even Carter will have heart down the road when his ankle is back. Don't sleep on the Nets as bad as we are we can make the playoffs and shock everyone while being a lottery team at the same time. PS. SOMEONE SIGN JARED JORDAN PLEASE!!!

Boki has been good only a handful of games (and never a "beast") DA has been a spark once or twice Marcus coming along to where? Won't even comment on Magloire or Allen

The situation is much worse than you make it out to be Also, do Yugo's race in NASCAR? That is the equivalent of Jared Jordan in the NBA.

OMG J-HoAgZ you're rose coloured glasses are particularly strong... or is it the crack habit of yours? Facts;- Our perimeter defense as a whole is only 60-70% of what it once was - None of the bench have provided a consistant scoring spark - Frank's rotations seem to be predisposed before the game. There is no focus on any sort of balance - Wright has regressed. His ball-handling has gone all Yinka Dare on us. He is also afraid to shoot - Boki is not the same player as last season. His swagger has all but disapeared - Kidd is playing at a reasonable level, but by his lofty standards he has been sloppy with the ball and has got abused a few times with his lack of lateral quickness. He is 30-something after all. To be expected really Im not being needlessly negative, its more a case of the chemistry not being what it was and our lack of consistant bench play has made Franks job that little bit harder. The team is done.
--The team is 27th in FT% --The team is 29th in FG% --The team is 27th in 3point FG% --the team plays at a very slow pace, which negates Kidd's basic skills --Kidd is going through the motions. There are so many talented players in this league, that attitude can make all the difference between success and failure. --Carter may need surgery on his ankle. [PLEASE STOP BLAMING CARTER! He's hurt. If he stopped playing, you'd all whine about how he wasn't a gamer and bring out that half-a-season stuff. You can't have it both ways. After the past two seasons, he deserves the benefit of the doubt that he's trying as hard as he can] --Krstic is useless. As far as ANYONE knows at this point, he may not be an NBA caliber player for the rest of this season. Or the rest of his career, which may be the same thing. --The Nets have one of the worst benches in the league. Think about it; if you had a tournament where each team could only enter their second unit, how well would the Nets do with a team of Marcus, Wright, Boki, Malik Allen, and Magloire? I'll even let you bring along Darryl Armstrong, Swift, and Krstic. This team would get blown out.

He's a nice guy who would is only playing basketball because he's incredibly talented, and the job is incredibly lucrative. He has no unnatural passion for the game - that doesn't make him a bad person, it just makes him a bad investment.

We don't really have a second unit anyway Frank puts players in randomly and usually stupidly. But, put in Marcus, Wright, Boki, Sean, and Swift and run small ball I think it would be a good spark.

There's players in the league who have a love for the game and would play in the NBA for free and would be greatful for being paid minimum wage for playing a game that they love. He just has a different mental makeup. Boone is also quiet and introspective; it's interesting that he heard the same talk before the draft. Just because you don't have the personality to be a vocal leader doesn't mean that you aren't talented or that you don't play as hard as you can.
btw what I said about Carter in it for the fat paycheck.. As much as I hate to say it I get the feeling that Marcus is the same way and that's one of the reasons why I don't think he'll be able to run the team.
