i just want to see him play..it looks like frank is just doing everything in his power to resist playing him....he even went ahead and played malik allen over BOKI who has been on a tear last couple of games

He has a Sean Williams developed game. The range from outside which he uses his pump fake to get an easier basket. This is good for Sean too IMO.

Swift just got here. He hasn't practiced with the team before today. I think its a bit premature to get hysterical that he hasn't solidified his rotation position; how could he? I want to see him play, no doubt about that, but you've got to be sensible about the whole thing. Now if this continues after a period, I'll join in the rantings
Without any real knowledge of our offense I was still more impressed by 2 mins of Stromile Swift than 15 mins of Krstic.

it's amazing this guy steps into NJ and seriously I hope who I saw tonight is the Swift that we continue to have all year. Stro played those 1 minute and change w/ heart his help D, closing out the 2 layups Dallas tried, then the block on Howard and the face up jumper we prayed for Collins to hit every game. What I liked about it is he worked hard and Sean got himself another boost after seeing Swift play. Anyone who doesn't like the trade for Swift take the exit ramp out of NJ.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Stromile Swift hasn’t made an impact yet, but you have to believe his time will come. Acquired last week, Swift will go through his first full practice as a Net today and it will be his last until after the All-Star break. I agree with many of you that he should get his feet wet, especially with Kidd, who will utilize Swift’s athletic gifts. But Frank continues to say it’s difficult to acclimate Krstic and throw Swift out there. “At some point we're going to see what Stromile can do,” Frank said. We keep hearing Swift’s game is close to Williams – Swift swatted a Juwan Howard shot into the stands - but Frank said he could see them playing together at some point. “I think there's potential for it,” Frank said. “Stromile, even though he's seven years in the league, he's brand new here. But that's something we'll look at down the line. [They’re] two athletic guys, both a little bit light, getting moved around a bit but hopefully their quickness and athleticism will be another area of strength”</div> http://njmg.typepad.com/zzone/2008/02/big-win.html

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Universe @ Feb 10 2008, 10:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>He actually looks happy here. He's a fan favourite before doing anything. Can't wait to see more.</div> That's not surprising at all. While he might not be a top-notch player, he sure is an entertaining one. I mean, what fan doesn't enjoy watching dunking and blocking, among other things? I'm just crossing my fingers that he'll actually show the desire to try to learn our plays, and figure out how to play actual defense.
I'm really starting to like Stro now. He needs to be given Malik's minutes and be played with Swat more often. I think the two compliment each other actually.
He had a great block last night. He seems longer than Williams, but not as explosive (getting up on the block). Williams just appears out of no where. -Petey
