His talent is undeniable, evident by the 26 scholarship offers he received before the 2008 class even signed their LOI's. Murray had a ridiculous senior season that culminated in Player of the Year honors in Florida (Class 4A). He completed 201 of 329 passes for 4,013 yards and 51 touchdowns. He also rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and found the end zone 12 times on the ground. Yes, those numbers are accurate. Before he committed to Georgia, Murray had 56 scholarship offers to his name. He committed to the Dawgs on April 24, 2008 over his other finalists, Florida and UCLA. He was one of 12 QB's selected to the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp held in Southern California.</font></td> </tr> <tr height="17" bgcolor="#c5c5c5"> <td><font face="verdana" size="1"><u>ESPN's Take</u></font></td> </tr> <tr> <td><font face="verdana" size="1">Murray soon could wind up in the conversation when scouts talk about college football's best quarterbacks. He embodies the "it" factor, and is an ideal blend of gunslinger and athlete. His athleticism should allow him to fit into any scheme, which probably stands out above anything else. He resembles Kyle Parker (class of 2008), but with better size and a bigger arm--a scary notion. Stephen Garcia (class of 2007) is another good comparison, and Murray in our opinion is better. He has a strong arm and the ability to drive the ball downfield. Has the best, quickest release of any passer in his class, bar none. He puts excellent velocity on his deep out routes and can fit throws into tight spots. Has a quick snap release. Can throw on the run effectively and throw across his body. Has very good athletic ability and can make something happen when a play breaks down. Has quick feet and good agility. Buys himself second chances in the pocket. Has above-average speed and can be a threat to run. Seems to be at his best when rolling out of the pocket. Has a knack for improvising. He's a tough, gritty winner with excellent intangibles. Finds a way to get things done and plays with infectious confidence. His physical tools are very good, but his methods can be raw and inconsistent. Has some Brett Favre to his game, which isn't all good. Murray must harness his tools and become more polished. But his tools, size, mentality and aptitude to handle whatever is thrown at him give him exceptional upside--and will make him a very hot commodity.</font></td> </tr> <tr height="17" bgcolor="#c5c5c5"> <td><font face="verdana" size="1"><u>Past Articles and Updates</u></font></td> </tr> <tr> <td><font face="verdana" size="1"> UCLA, Clemson And Texas Tech Make Offers To Plant’s Murray | TBO.com (2/13/08) Plant’s Murray Is County’s Most Wanted Man | TBO.com (2/25/08) Gruden serious about quarterbacks at his high school football camp | TampaBay.com (3/30/08) Murray headed to All-American Bowl | TampaBay.com (4/1/08) QB of the Future? | The Press-Enterprise (4/3/08) Why Georgia Should Schedule a Series With UCLA | DawgSports.com (4/14/08) Murray Invited To Prestigious QB Camp | TBO.com (4/17/08) Murray is first quarterback selected to the NIKE Elite 11 | ESPN.com (4/18/08) Georgia-bound QB impressive in camp at Auburn | AJC.com (4/29/08) TMI 2009: The Big Board (Skill Positions) | DawgSports.com (6/4/08) UGA-bound Murray encourages teammate to commit to Dogs| AJC.com (7/9/08) Future Georgia QBs headed to California camp | AJC.com (7/9/08) ESPN RISE Announces 2008 ELITE 11 Quarterback Field | ESPN.com (7/15/08) Tampa team wins Nike 7ON title | ESPN.com (7/19/08)</font></td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>

Murray visited UGA recently and came away very impressed. And I mean very impressed. A decision could possibly be coming by the end of the month and UGA and Florida figure to be the two leaders, from what I know.

Tampa team wins Nike 7ON title | ESPN <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>After winning in a much-anticipated semifinal that featured two of the top-ranked high school quarterbacks in the nation, Team Super Speed from Tampa, Fla., struggled in the first half of the championship game of the Nike 7ON national tournament against Team Merciless of Atlanta. But two second-half touchdown passes from tourney MVP Aaron Murray lifted Super Speed to a 30-14 victory over Team Merciless as the winners rallied from a 14-7 deficit. "What most impressed me with you guys over the last two days was just our toughness," Super Speed coach Robert Weiner told his team after its stopped celebrating on the field at the Nike campus in Beaverton, Ore., for just a few moments. "Every moment when we faced a tough challenge, we were ready to answer." Murray, who said he had never before had a streak of completions in a 7-on-7 contest like the 20 in a row he had in the semifinal win over Team Field Generals, said it was the entire Super Speed roster that contributed to the title. "We just left everything on the field," he said after the championship game. "Our defense stepped up in the second half and the offense got going. It was unbelievable to win this title because there were so many great teams in it." Murray, who hopes to lead his high school team at Plant High of Tampa this upcoming season to its second Class 4A state title in Florida in the last three years, completed 21 of 32 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns in the finale. Senior Orson Charles caught the go-ahead TD pass in the second half and led Super Speed with seven catches for 108 yards and two scores. Teammate Nathan Marvel also had two TD grabs and finished with three catches for 75 yards.</div>

On the Hoof: He may be the shortest of all the quarterbacks but he is well put together and has a very athletic-looking lower body. Conclusion: He will be able to make all the throws at the next level. Murray may end up being Georgia's version of Chase Daniels.</div>
Several quarterbacks have big days to open Elite 11 | ESPN <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>One player we've seen a lot of over the last week is Aaron Murray (Tampa, Fla./Plant). Murray, at 6-1, 200 pounds, just led his team to the NIKE 7ON Passing Championship in Oregon over the weekend, and he continued his hot streak Monday. Murray is as gifted physically as anyone in this camp. He has a live arm, is very accurate and is a plus athlete as well. "Murray was just what we expected him to be," Elite 11 QBs coach Tee Martin said. "He's on a different level right now but still has some things to work on. He's great when he can throw to his first read but when he has to check off to his second or third read, there are times when his mechanics suffer a bit. "Sometimes he'll double clutch or struggle to make that quick read but as he gets more comfortable in the pocket, he'll overcome that and be just fine. He's a big time talent for sure."</div>
So if people shouldn't double post, what happens when someone posts a twenty-quintuple post? Just kidding keep up the good work. Maybe editing would work better except for big news.

Just kidding keep up the good work. Maybe editing would work better except for big news.</div> Editing wouldn't alert people to any news/articles though. Only a new post indicates that something new has happened because it bumps the post. No worries though. I've got an idea. Whenever a new article pops up, I'll create a post. But after a week or two, I'll delete the post, and update the first post with the article link. Sound good?
