On Clemens' side- What kind of a guy would keep syringes for 8 years "just in case"? And apparently McNamee asked Clemens for financial help all the time. He sounds to some like a crazy man going after an old friend. On McNamee's side- Why would a man ever tell the truth about Andy Pettite, but lie about Clemens. That just makes no sense. And the fact that he has evidence and is willing to show to the court is very intriuging. So, which story do you believe?
I don't think Clemens is necessarily clean, but there's something very fishy about all things McNamee.
Clemens is acting ridiculous. He should just come out and tell people he took HGH or whatever. By lying, and inevitably being caught in a lie, he'll only tarnish his rep that much more.
Clemens had a career year in his 40's, and his phone call conversation actually clinched it for me because he sounded so fake and unnatural. Yes he's the liar.
I think Clemens is definitely lying, but I believe McNamee either intended to or had already tried to extort him for some money before the accusations.
McNamee is a nobody. Just some lowlife scumbag. Who cares about him? Clemens is a lying sack of shit. He is going to prison for lying to congress and he will go down in history as the most disgraced professional athlete of all time next to OJ.

They're both jerks then but Clemens should have just told the truth.
Wow can you believe this guy? He gets his Wife to admit she took HGH from McNamee, but I'm supposed to believe he himself didn't take any? Punk.
Viewing some of the congressional hearings, its seems as though the congressmen and women have a bias towards Clemens. They even say they love him while talking to him. If this true court case, and a jury member said that to clemens, he would be thrown off for bias towards one side. This case should be heard before an unbiased group. This congressmen are trying to intimidate McNamee, but constantly accusing him of lying, but they dont do that to clemens. I think this is a very unfair trial for brian mcnamee, because the congressmen are on a mission to discredit him.
I think there needs to be a 3rd option -- NEITHER Clemens comes out looking like a douche after this. Andy Pettitte "mis-remembered" our conversation. I think that quote is going down in infamy. Anyone embarrassed by or congressmen in all of this? What a complete waste of tax payer dollars.
I don't even care about this BS any more. I'm just sick of seeing it on ESPN instead of actual SPORTS.
I thought the political parties added to the excitement. Some of the comments weren't what I would expect. I loved the woman who flashed pictures. LOL That was pure gold. I think they both lied. I think it will come out worse for McNamee. As someone off the panel said, this 'physical' evidence would never be accepted in a court. It's not like NcNamee is a forenic specialist. How is he gonna keep something like that around for how many years? Nor is Andy Pettitte's word going to count more so in a court than Rogers. But when McNamee admitted to holding back evidence, or testimony for the Mitchell Report, he screwed himself. His testimony of what he did got worse and worse as time moved away. It's too bad he wasn't smart enough to come to some agreement before this little show and tell. -Petey
The best line came from Elijah Cummings, who said "Between you and Mr. McNamee, I must tell you that the person I believe most is Mr. Pettitte." That about sums it up for me.
