<td><font face="verdana" size="1">Nunes has seen his recruitment explode over the past few months with offers rolling in from all over the country. He threw for 2,105 and 14 touchdowns during his junior year.

Nunes has all the makings of a terrific college quarterback. His footwork is excellent and there is little wasted motion in his delivery. He throws well on the run. He throws a very catchable ball and always leads his receivers. He has a very good arm, though sometimes struggles with his mechanics on the long ball. He is very mobile for a player of his height. Tremendous prospect who could move up in the sportstwo rankings in the future.</font></td>

Fifth Offer for Nunes | Scout

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Upland (Calif.) quarterback Josh Nunes picked up his fifth offer on Thursday night.

"Josh received his fifth offer last night from San Diego State," said Upland recruiting coordinator Mike Esquivel. "San Diego State head coach Chuck Long made it official when Josh arrived home after pitching at his baseball game and checked the mail. What he found was a letter saying San Diego State has officially offered him a scholarship."

The offer from the Aztecs joins offers from Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii and Stanford for Nunes.</div>

Richard Brehaut was offered a scholarship to UCLA over Nunes. They were both battling for the offer, but Brehaut won out and accepted on the spot. A shame for Nunes because he really wanted to go to UCLA.

Nunes has trimmed his list down to eight schools. In alphabetical order, they are ASU, BYU, Florida, Harvard, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Stanford, and Tennessee. You might notice one school in there that doesn't quite fit with the others; tells you how much Nunes cares about academics.

Football: Serra's Landers emerging as a quality prospect | LA Times

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Ted Landers hasn't receive much, if any, attention from NCAA Division I scouts. The lack of recognition up to this point is somewhat understandable, considering the quarterback from Gardena Serra plays the same position as Southland standouts such as Matt Barkley and Richard Brehaut.

Things, however, are beginning to change. Landers has been impressive during spring workouts and appears poised to break through this summer. Colorado and Oregon State are interested in the 6-foot-4 junior, according to these quotes. A trip to Nebraska looms as a possibility too.

Living in the shadow of Barkley and Brehaut can't be fun. Making matters worse is the fact that quarterbacks Allan Bridgford and Josh Nunes have typically been mentioned before Landers. But with continued improvement, the Cavaliers' signal-caller is carving out his niche.</div>

Football: Crenshaw, Upland earn trip to Atlanta | LA Times

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Crenshaw defeated Upland, 21-19, to win the adidas seven on seven passing tournament championship Sunday at Loyola Marymount, with both schools advancing to a national tournament July 30-31 in Atlanta.

Crenshaw left little doubt that it has one of the best collection of skill-position players in the City Section. Quarterback Marques Thompson, up from the freshman-sophomore team, was named the tournament most valuable player. Linebacker Hayes Pollard and running back DeAnthony Thomas were also standouts for the Cougars, who defeated Clovis West in the semifinals.

Upland, led by quarterback Josh Nunes, defeated Washington Prep in its semifinal.</div>
