<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'> Some Team Disguised as the Nets Beats the Mavs by 19 February 10, 2008, 9:05 pm Overheard in the Nets’ locker room after Sunday’s game at the IZOD Center: “You want to play with those guys?” Somehow, the Nets got their second straight double-digit victory, a laugher over the Mavs with the Big Three (can we call them that again?) leading the way. The Nets were down 11 midway through the second quarter, but finished the half on a 21-4 run to take a six-point lead into the break. They continued to roll into the second half, leading by as many as 20 in the third and never looking back. Vince Carter led all scorers and rebounders with 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting and nine boards. Jason Kidd added 13 points and 14 assists and Richard Jefferson added 19 points and seven rebounds. Sean Williams was terrific off the bench with 15 points, seven boards and two blocks and Nenad Krstic shows signs of improvement as well. Dallas shot just 37 percent from the field, including 2-of-18 from downtown. Dirk Nowitzki scored 21 points, but shot just 4-for-16. I laughed a little. I wonder what Kidd's response was. Either way the Nets shouldn't be talking, sure it's a blowout but lets not forgot the individual records. 34-16>22-29
That game was a kick in the teeth to Mavs fans and Cuban. I'd say the Dallas fans were about 80% about not getting Kidd and keeping Harris and Terry. I'd say that percentaged decreased after tonights game.

I know this game was seen as an audition for Kidd and the Mavericks. Maybe this was his teammates audition for Kidd? Saying, "Hey, we can play too."

kidd's response was probably: "that's what everyone asked me when I signed with NJ a few years ago. " BURN!
