Why don't the Nets just blow it up like the Heat and Grizzlies? They're clearly going nowhere, so just blow it up, trade away your superstars and start from scratch. They can't get any worse. Plus, what's the point of making the playoffs as the 7 or 8 seed, only to get swept by Detroit or Boston in the first round? If you're going to suck, might as well get a lottery pick out of it instead of another first round exit.

However, regardless of whether MAKING the threat was unethical, if actually following through with this threat would be unethical, it would seem to be a potential source of embarassment even to just point that out. I know very little about attorney ethics, partially because there are different, very specific rules that apply to me and people like me.

He keeps pridefully quoting the Nets 6 consecutive years of postseason appearances as reason enough to keep the team intact. Look who got Oden last year. A few lucky drops of a few balls, who knows Beasley or Derrick Rose lands in your lap. These high picks have good value. Boston was able to pluck Ray Allen with what the 6th pick? I mean it's time to sell, sell VC and Kidd. Blow it up, assure yourself of a lottery pick, start over again.

Memphis blew it up and evryone around the league is still scratching their heads on that one. Memphis has been rebuilding since they were born. Bad franchise with other issues (a sale) at play.
I'm sure his other clients are all going to love that there will be at least one less team bidding for their services, ie getting them smaller contracts instead of bigger contracts. That makes a ton of sense.

I don't even think Drew Rosenhaus has gone this far yet.
you know what I find amazing if this was Kobe or Vince they would have been destroyed in the media. I remembering watching NBA Fastbreak on ESPN they were trying to spend Kidd request to be traded as he was doing what's best for the team. Saying "Kidd figures since he has the less years left on his contract he should be the one traded instead of RJ VC." Pure Shullbit. Why does Kidd get this benefit of the doubt
why the hell do we care? If this is how he's going to act, do we even want one of his clients on this team? I know if I was Thorn I wouldn't want to have to deal with him again.

Nothing surprising here. Its the same story with the Nets the past few seasons. They win a couple of games and make it look like things have gotten into sync, but in fact, they still end up no where. Clearly Kidd knows the routine and is frankly sick of it. Sad to hear how far he's taking things, but not much you can do.

The way he pushed the ball yesterday was once standard, but now he does that once a fortnight. If Kidd runs hard, so will RJ, Boone, Boki, and Sean. Carter is definitely improving, but Kidd is not focused every game. It takes a game like yesterday to realise how lazy his passes have been for the past month.
