<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The New York Daily News reports that the Knicks are shopping C Eddy Curry and PF Zach Randolph. Forget about Randolph, since the Mavs already have a scoring power forward and wouldn't want to bring one of the NBA's biggest headcases into their locker room. But Curry might interest the Mavs. The 6-11, 285-pound Curry is considered a soft underachiever. But he's a good low-post scorer who is only 25 years old. He's a salary match with Erick Dampier, and the Mavs might be able to convince Isiah Thomas that a banger like Damp would bring out the best in Randolph. (I usually won't include Damp in trade speculation because of his bad contract, but bad contracts never seem to bother the Knicks.) Curry would make the Mavs a much better offensive team and might blossom into a star in a winning atmosphere. But his defense (or lack thereof) might make the Mavs miss Damp if they run into Tim Duncan, Shaq or Yao Ming in the playoffs. I'm sure Mark Cuban wants all the advice he can get these days ... so wouldya do a Damp-for-Curry deal?</div> Source: Mavs Blog

I wouldn't want Cuban to pull the trigger on this one. Dampier will be more valuable come playoff time.
