<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nachbar took a third-quarter pass from Jason Kidd and dunked. Thirty-five seconds later, Nachbar took a pass from Kidd and dunked again. His back-to-back 3-point plays — he was fouled on both dunks — stirred the Nets to a 92-88 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. “I wanted to be aggressive,” Nachbar said, “but I wanted to remind people I was still on the team.”</div> New York Times (really?)
what gives him (potential) value is that he DOES have multiple offensive skills. Many jumpshooters will ONLY take jumpshots (Malik Allen/Cliff Robinson/Eddie House/Eddie Gill etc). The fact that he can drive to the hoop, dunk, and run the break, and doesn't just stay on the perimeter gives the team another look when he's on the floor. But he still has to hit his shots. When he'd playing aggressively, I want him to be resigned, but he has just been way too inconsistent for whatever reason. Yes, his defense sucks, but that's true for many reserves throughout the league; that's why they're reserves.
