I feel sad, yet excited at the same time. This feels so weird.

I've been a big fan of Devin Harris, he is no way even close to what Jason Kidd is but I believe this guy is our pg for the future.

I was hoping the Nets would have packaged Marcus in there as well.

Crap! I was hoping to see Kidd today. I feel like I wasted my money now that Marcus will have to run the show tonight.

It's a nice cache of goods from Dallas, they were desperate. 2 first rounders should be nice. Stack can be moved for more pieces, but this is just a retooling, add Stack to the wing mix, it's a very nice bunch. Harris-Williams should be a nice mix at the point. The bigs are meshing together. See a lot more playmaking from VC. Defense at the point of attack improves.

Mavs picks are worthless unless something Magic occurs in Dallas where Dirk, Howard, Kidd all break their legs.

for a 2nd round pick, according to the stein article. wright may not be fantastic, but he's in the rotation, and he's worth more than a mavs 2nd rounder.

It's sad to see Devin go. I not against Kidd coming to Dallas, but for some reason it just doesn't seem right, breaking up the team to get Kidd. Who knows, maybe he'll have a Steve Nash-esque revival. I wonder what's going to happen now with our center situation, since Damp is day-to-day and frequently injured. Dirk at center? Juwan Howard (God please no)?

Also, our spark off the bench is gone, so now what? I read on NBA.com that NJ was offering Kidd and Armstrong or Malik. I would've preferred getting Armstrong, since I like the idea of having the JET play more 2 guard and be instant offense, similar to Leandro Barbosa.

I really would have liked it if either Harris or Diop was not involved in this trade.

Not necessarily. Putting two picks together (maybe one NJ, one Dallas) can always be used to move up for one pick or used in trades with other teams. Nice assets. I also like the fact that we are getting rid of Wright in favor of Stackhouse, even if only temporarily, and Allen. With no Allen, Frank can't use him.

The West is even more ridiculous after this trade. The Nets get a lot of pieces back for Kidd, but what happens to Marcus Williams now?

Trade you Marcus for Farmar? [IMG]

I'm pretty sure the FO is still high on him, but I doubt he will pan out. His defense is atrocious, his shooting is erratic and his attitude is pretty bad.

so torn today. my professor didnt show up, so i left class and heard mike mention it before they took a break and im sad and excited. we knew we had to go in a different direction. i was curious to find out what we got, i knew we had to get harris.

interesting that antoine is on his way out too. i like that we are stackin up picks and i feel we really got a lot for kidd. a great young future pg, expiring contracts and multiple picks are coming back. now this is the first move where the next move has to be vince being moved. gotta get rid of his contract (obviously) and hope we can get something like we got for kidd.

time to focus on the youth of this team and time to really watch college bball (i tend to wait till the madness starts) to see who we can get. hopefully we can get a top pick and make a run at some good FA's in the summer.

the best era of the nets has officially ended, hopefully this is the begining of a new era that can bring a title to us.
