Guards: Dwyane Wade (Mia) 1,608,260; Jason Kidd (NJ) 1,246,386; Ray Allen (Bos) 1,061,740 Obviously the east would get to choose another player to match the West's 13... BTW, Caron isn't playing in the game either, so it looks like the East will have to add 2 additional players, assuming this is the case...</div> Thanks. I was just about to look for that! Obviously, Ray Ray starts, Which is fair IMO. I'd be okay with that, even if Hedo didn't make it.
Ray Allen isn't even on the All Star team now. How in the hell does he suddenly jump the players that are already on the roster?

I think what cpaw meant was how does Ray Allen all of a sudden become a STARTER when he's not even on the allstar roster. Makes sense to me.

This happened a couple years ago in baseball when Beltran got traded to the Astros, if I remember correctly. He played the ASG for the national league and was the starter.

Billups will get the nod if Kidd doesn't play for the East. That much is obvious. I don't think votes play a part at all at this point. Somebody has to make it onto the team as a reserve and the league will make that decision themselves (like they did with Rasheed). I'm hoping Calderon makes it in, since a PG just left the team.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Kidd's trade at least allows the NBA to undo a grave injustice. Voted in as a starter in the East, Kidd would now presumably suit up with the West on Sunday. To fill his vacated spot, the league could tab Toronto point guard Jose Calderon, whose ridiculous efficiency was somehow overlooked by Eastern Conference coaches when they chose the reserves. It would be a poetic justice, as it was Kidd's selection as a starter that effectively cost Calderon a much-deserved spot in the first place. -- Hollinger</div> http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/col...KiddDeal-080213
I'm going to predict a major blowout. (In Wests' favour) Whether or not Kidd plays on the Eastern Conf.
