I believe that the Nets got a better package than Memphis did for Gasol. If I remember correctly--and I may not--Memphis received two first round picks, the rights to Marc Gasol, Crittenden, and Kwame Brown.

You know who you are.
I actually think Memphis got the better deal... We're stuck with Stackhouse's salary against the Cap even if we do buy him out. Plus the Lakers picks are probably going to be better than the Mavs. Also, Crittenton is a better prospect than Harris IMO. Especially with MWill here too.

The Grizzlies opened up a bunch of cap space this summer and made themselves more attractive to potential buyers. The Nets saved themselves some money, but not enough to do anything with and they didn't improve a team that can't decided if it wants to be a playoff team or a lottery team

I think Crittendon is trash, but I also think most people tend to underrate cap space as an asset. With that said, I think we got a pretty nice haul for Kidd, and if the Stackhouse buyout isn't too bad we should be in pretty decent financial shape for the future.
Well, I'm basically thinking from a Cap space perspective. We won't be able to go for any FAs this year b/c of stackhouse's contract. I'm seriously hoping we keep him as he's an awesome 6th man for the team... Then we have the better deal, but if we are buying out stack as stated, than I prefer the grizz's deal.
