Wonder how Kidd will like working with Avery?

He seems to sure like to scream at his players. Wonder how long before Kidd has him fired?

After working with butt-kissing Frank for so many years, Avery will probably seem like a torture camp for Kidd.

At the same time, Avery has actually been in the NBA, so Kidd will probably have more respect for him as well.

Vice versa as well. I think they'll both be fine. Kidd is going to be happy playing in Dallas, and I'm sure Avery is excited to have a point guard like Kidd on his roster.

Since Kidd will be motivated now, I can't see him having any problems with Avery this season

Kidd and Avery will get along fine. Avery works his ass off, just like Frank, and Kidd respects that.

It will probably take less than a year before he starts bitching out management, though.

You raise a very, very, very good point. Despite what ly_yng says about respecting Avery as a hard worker, Kidd and Avery will NOT get along. Avery controls his team, tells his star players what to do. I can't see Kidd taking that. That's what happened with Byron Scott...

Skiles told his players one thing and the media another. That's why Kidd still considers him a backstabber.

Byron was too busy working on his golf game to even learn the motion offense. The "well, I'll let Eddie handle that" mentality is what pissed Kidd off there.

Avery Johnson is, by all accounts, an up-front honest guy who is more concerned about winning than anything else. He's also incredibly popular on his team. Can't really see Kidd going against that grain, especially knowing that Nowitski would be in AJ's corner.
