This includes first round draft picks following their fourth (option) season, who accept their team's qualifying offer for their fifth season. When the player consents to such a trade, the team loses its Larry Bird/Early Bird rights, and the player is considered a Non-Bird free agent. so we can do this if we take on Hassells terrible contract too, or JET instead of Stack and George, which costs us more. Other than that, we'd have to really expand the trade, or make it a 3 team deal. If this is blocked, we still have to give up Wright for their 2nd though right? That would suck. So it looks like the deal just got worse for us. Hopefully Cuban feels bad and gives us Josh or seeks a trade that gets us another expiring instead or something. So basically, Devean George has become perhaps my least favorite player. EDIT: Or they could send us KVH.
WHO THE **** gives Devean George a no trade clause in his contract!?!!! he is really being a bitch about this, i expect cuban and maverick ownership to pressure him tomorrow to accept the deal or else he wont see a minute of playing time in dallas!
