Why does Devean George need to preserve his bird rights? Does he honestly think some team is going to give him more than the MLE or would want to preserve their MLE by trading a player for him in a S&T? Seriously?

The Knicks are offering him a 56 mil deal over the next 5 years I heard.

Yea, I find it laughable what he thinks he's worth on the open market. He's a one year vet minimum guy from now until the end of his career. I have a slight recollection that he used the Nets to up LA's offer to him a few years back.

That cause him to get their full MLE if I'm not mistaken. LOL

The Lakers should be cursing us!

Maybe he just doesn't want to live in Jersey and uses the Early Bird Rights as a pretext.

I've been reading everywhere that he's thinking it over, and the decision to block the trade is not final.

Him and his agent are gonna talk to Dallas officials, and presumably New Jersey officials, and figure things out.

I don't blame him. NJ is ugly as all hell, only positive about it is how close it is to NY. Maybe he wants another ring? Much better shot in Dallas.

I don't think anyone can blame George. Dallas gave him that power, so he has every right to utilize it.

Even if George continues to block the trade, I'm sure Dallas and NJ will make a slightly different deal. In the end, Kidd will be in a Dallas.

Btw, if Kidd doesn't get traded by Sunday, does he still start for the East?

Players have to live in hotels too for a while after moving.

I'm pretty sure he just doesn't feel like being inconvenienced by the trade.

I think the NBA will tell them to hold off till after just so they don't have to adjust all that.
