dwights dunk was monstorus, it literally looked like he was flying in the air, especially during the replays. that will sure as hell be on a poster soon

WOW, you guys are reading way to much into this, who cares if it wasnt a prototypical dunk, the excitement, creativity and enthusiam was just so pure. i usually hate the dunk contests but this one was by far the best of the recent batch

Anybody find any youtube vids yet? I missed out on it (..... ok, I didn't feel like staying in just for that). Was Jamario that bad? I thought it was one of those situations where everyone touts a dude as underrated to the point where he becomes overrated.
I liked the Superman dunk, but imo that wasnt even a dunk. Anyways, I dont have any agenda for him or anything like that, but I was surprised when no one took another look at that attempt and said that that attempt was questionable since he never touched the rim. (Doesnt matter now though, he was the winner of the contest by a large margin anyway since he brought such great innovative stuff to the table-about time!)
I thought Jamario was god aweful. I'm very sick of reading people saying it wasn't a dunk by Dwight. He threw it down, from above the rim. That alone is a 50.

Basketball. a shot with one hand from a point close to the basket, in which a player shoots the ball toward the basket, often (not always) off the backboard. He didn't touch the rim, yes it was a "soft" dunk. What would you call it Run, powerful? I recognize the official definition Run, now recognize "loophole", it's a valid retort. There is much ambiguity to the definition, it should be refined. So you thought it deserved a 50? You think that if the Judges saw that he wouldn't have to do it again? Was the dunk without the cape that great anyway?

Kenny was saying that how many ppl could jump higher then Dwight in the league? Well Gerald can. Don't get me wrong Dwight won this thing hands down. But man Gerald could've blown out the cake again with a windmill! Cuz he got a little higher on that one then he did on the cake. I also thought that Gerald was really 6'8. But after seeing stand next to DHoward he's just another product of given 2 inch ish that starts in HS. If they put a jump meter on Greens first two dunks he would've got a 46 and 48 inch leap. Overall I was very entertained by this contest. As for Moon he should've maybe do another lob think because I've never seen nobody catch a lob that far out and dunk it with their off hand. The tape ruined it. I say he could dunk from that tape without the lob. But with the lob I don't even think James White could've done that.

Only one of them was creative (loved the Birthday Cake) and the last two were two different versions of each other. There's not creativity going on up there in Geralds head, I don't see how he should have won it. (I would have love to see Gerald eat the cake while dunking also. The guy has such a vertical leap that he has time to think about what he's doing while in the air. Ah well.) Howard's dunks on the other hand, were all new and never done before. Maybe doing a through-the-legs dunk twice in a row is hard than tipping it to yourself off the backboard or taking the ball from a smaller basket and putting it in a bigger one, but his stuff was new and exciting to watch. Which is exactly why Howard won it.
