Don't act like I've written a book on the subject, hyperbole guy. I just don't think it would be cool to allow people to throw the ball in future contests. Different people have joined in on this conversation, that's why it has continued this long.

Oh so I wanted someone else to win? No I don't care JCB, and it was far from amazing. Saying that is what I disagree with.

I just thought the whole thing was nasty, from the Superman outfit to where he took off from. I just didn't know he could jump from that far because last year in his first dunk it seemed like he couldn't take off from far at all. Keep in mind that I'm biased though. [IMG]</div>

Yeah Swish you love Dwight, I know.

Where the hell did I say you wanted someone else to win? Stop putting words in my mouth and stop acting like a 4 year old. The dunk contest is all about entertainment and Dwight put on the best show we've seen since 2000.

Tyrus Thomas had a throw dunk (like Dwight did) that was the NBA dunk of a week before, so there is precedent for Dwight's dunk, actually being a dunk with the NBA.

    "Dwight won, get over it."

What the hell would I infer from that? Seems valid to think what i did. The dunk contest needs clearer rules and replay technology. Your panties comment was immature if anything; in a sound discussion up till that point.

Don't single me out either, I see plenty of wack threads these days. If people wouldn't continue to argue with me, I would have nothing further to say.

I agree with hue, technically speaking, it was a layup.

Wow, I can't believe people are arguing over an exhibition, seriously. Can't we all just agree that Dwight won it easily and get it over with?

I think it could be a dunk or lay-up. Even technically speaking.

Dwight's double alleyoop > all of Gerald Green's dunks combined

Dwights first dunk was better than all of Green's other dunks as well. Hell, so was his last. Honestly, everything Dwight did trumped everything Green did.

Man, I just watched Moon's dunks again, and I cannot believe that he didn't make it to the final round. That left-handed alleyoop from almost the freethrow line? wow.

He might've gotten a better score if he hadn't put the tape behind the line. He was in the air for the longest time.

Yup that's true. The Cupcake dunk was creative as hell though.

Wow, you guys have to be the dumbest basketball forum on the planet. How could you say Dwight outdunked Gerald?????? Green jumped higher and had much better dunks than Howard. Green's btwn the legs lob was better than VC 2000 dunk.

Man, you're acting like he was robbed of the MVP. Honestly, do you have some personal relationship with Gerald that we're not aware of? Hell, are YOU Gerald Green? Seriously dude, you're making yourself look like a fool. I've never seen someone makes such a big deal out of something so small. It was the SLAM DUNK CONTEST. And his between the legs doesn't even touch what VC did, and it'd help your image across the board if you were to never compare those two again. Hell, it'd help you if acted like a mature fan and admit your boy lost. Instead, all you're doing is bitching and moaning and bitching and moaning and making yourself look like a clown. You're acting like a flat out pathetic fanboy.

    Thank goodness!

I'd rather be part of the dumbest basketball forum on the planet than be the single ************; at least there's solidarity.

Dude, grow up. If this is the dumbest basketball forum on the planet, you can always leave and take your love for Green with you somewhere else. You're not held here by chains.

When Iggy lost to Nate there were like 50 million threads because he got robbed same thing with Green. I want justice.

Gerald is still the best dunker in the league!!!!!!!
