Can this front court, make their team a title contender, or are they to small?

They all seem to complement each other well, but they're hasn't been alot of teams that have won championship playing small. You look @ Detriot they had 6'9 Ben Wallace at C, but they also had Rasheed and tayshaun in the frontcourt.

You don't need someone big in the starting lineup but it wouldn't hurt to have a big on the bench for some situations.

Agreed! I've been saying we need to go after Diop for awhile now. They hawks give up way to many offensive rebounds, and usually struggle against tall big man, and a player like a Diop would help out on that category. Shelden Williams is to small.

Spurs are a perfect example to model off of.

Elson is used to gaurd the Dirks and the scoring forwards while Oberto is used when purely a defensive player is on the court.

Hawks could do that as well if they could draft a Hibbert of Hasheem; even the FA market would be good to find role playing guys who fit well.

Long-term, I think Horford is better off at the 4 and Smith is better off at the 3. You don't have to go with a conventional lineup to win games, especially at this point in Atlanta's development, but I think they will need a dependable big to put next to Horford if they ever want to be taken seriously in the postseason.

These guys are young. Give them time to get better. I have a lot of faith that Al Horford will be a top center in this league, and Josh Smith will do some great things. At PF, he stretches out the defense giving more room for Johnson and now Bibby. As for Marvin, he just need confidence and he'll be fine. He can shoot, pass and rebound while playing above average defense.
