    Jerry. ****ing. Stackhouse.

I hope the Mavs lose in the first round again this year. This deal ain't happening, and it's cause he couldn't keep his ****ing mouth shut.

If I was the GM and the deal was blocked I would go on every news station proclaiming foul play by the league...Lets be real EVERYBODY knew Stackhouse was being bought out...EVERYBODY. He was simply asked how he felt and answered truthfully. He likes Dallas so he'd rather sit 30 days than sign with another team.

Given Stackhouse is a moving piece and not the centerpiece of the trade, and that techniquelly no rules are broken than the league would have some problems by blocking this trade. Yeah it may be slightly dirty business...but c'mon everybody in the league does deals like this at some point.

Devon Harris and the Picks are what Jersey really wants. It's to fair of a trade for the league to get involved.

    I don't see the problem...
If KVH can be used in this trade, I don't know why would Stac and George be needed...

KVH can be resigned up to a one year 15 mill contract... Thats less than Stack's remaining salary... and his huge expirer would be a nice asset.

KVH + Harris + Ager + the 1 first rounders for Kidd and Malik Allen would work just fine.

Dallas keeps it's depth, we get a huge expirer, everyone is happy.

Than, if we can somehow pull off Boki + Magloire + Wright for Mike Miller...

    vow..

And that's when we have everything to get JO or Brand, without giving up the core guys.

KVH's 15 mill expirer + Krstic + Marcus for JO, and we have this roster for next season:

    JO/Sean
    Boone/Stro
    RJ/Miller
    Vince/Ager
    Harris/Armstrong

    looks pretty good to me...

apparently Cuban is balking at the large tax hit associated with doing it that way.

Might have needed the 1st round picks from the Mavs deal to complete the Miller trade?

Would it be in our best interests to give up our 1st round draft pick to get Miller if we do end up keeping kidd?

They won't let us have anything nice!

Getting Mike Miller with a Kidd-run team would be great, but I really believe that this Dallas deal is the best we'll get for Kidd. The young talent, the picks, and the context in which the deal was created in probably won't happen again.

I can easily see the Nets recovering psychologically and chemistry-wise if this deal flops. As I've said before, I think Kidd would still play his hardest after the deadline once he knows he's stuck here; Vince is looking healthier; Krstic is coming around; we have 2 supremely athletic bigs and a third that's a solid rebounder and garbage guy. If we added Miller and kept Kidd and avoid more major injuries, I'm confident the Nets could at least get to the 6th seed and would have a major morale boost going into the post season.

There's a palpable feeling to me that Kidd's teammates still don't want him to leave, no matter how his actions have hurt the team this season. And, if they start winning (which they were already doing before the bombshell in Toronto), a lot of bad feelings would be assuaged, at least in the short term.

I think the Mavs would have a much harder time recovering. Not that I care about that, of course.

I think they wanted one pick for this year's draft. That would give them 3 this year which was originally there goal. I'm guessing we were gonna send them Dalla's pick instead of ours being it would have been at least 8 slots later than ours.

Boki, Mags, Malik and our first would be enough.

It's a damn shame that this deal didn't go through from a Nets' perspective. The Mavericks were completely over-paying for Kidd. Two first rounders + an established player in Harris? I can understand why Nets' fans are pissed.

If I'm a Mavs fan, I'm happy that this doesn't go down. Devin Harris, when healthy, is very capable of leading this team and being a key role player to Howard and Dirk.

maybe...Josh Howard is 27 though and will be 28 in April...he's actually older than RJ. Dirk is gonna be 30 in June.
Realistically the window is closing...either they start thinking rebuild or they push for a championship.

like i said ill be upset if the deal doesnt happen but im not goin to cry about it, i mean jason kidd is fun to watch hes a walking triple double and hes a hall of fame PG

to the mavs fan devin harris is nice player but hes not ready to lead a team to a championship like kidd would do and cuban realizes that

cuban knows if he evr wants to win a championship with this core group of players on the mavs roster of dirk, howard, terry, stacks and co. it will only happen with kidd

theyve been to the finals and lost, won 67 games last yr and got embarassed by an 8th seed, cuban cant take another playoff exit with this same group of guys , at least with kidd he knos the team is in good hand with a PG whose goin to make smart decisions with the ball and not let another collapse like the past 2 yrs happen again.

If the mavs had kidd a yr ago in the finals or even last yr they wouldve won the championship

Mavs have more to lose by this not happenning than the nets

Wow. This is total bullshit. The league is total fucking bullshit.

Instead of paying attention to how shitty the refs are, how LA completely raped Memphis, they turn their heads to the Nets and get on their asses.

What the fuck did we do to the league to deserve this?

when u put it into those terms i belive the correct question to ask is
what the **** did mark cuban do to the league to deserve this?

the league might be givin him a tough time for all those complaints he always puts in about the refs and so forth, they want to make it as difficult as can be for him to acquire a future hall of a fame PG

but this would be all a conspiracy theory.. just throwin it out there
