So I go to Spanish class which is in the engineering building and I see three cop cars and an ambulance in front of the building. I didn't think much of it at the time.

Then I come back to my dorm at 3:30 and find out that a cop, who was serving a warrant, was shot in the face while serving an arrest warrant. The guy ran past my dorm and across the street to the nearby Metro station, and I realized then that's why the ambulance and the cop cars were there, the station was being closed off to search for the guy.

The cop was taken to the hospital, he's going to be alright.

He's still armed and on the loose. I can see the scene from my room now. There's cop cars and camera crews all around.

And this was supposed to be a day of lent on campus. LOL.

WOW. Thank god that cop is okay. When I read that he got shot in the face, at first, my stomache starting getting queasy.

Good luck, and I'm hoping and praying nothing bad happens to anyone else there!

There's shootings in my neighborhood from time to time (domestic violence). And I live in a part of Vegas that is notoriously "safe."
