    Source just reported Devean George has canceled watching All-Star game and is on the phone trying to persuade Keith Van Horn to not reporting to New Jersey. George did not reveal rational for his action.

    Thorn has to have another move planned simultaneously because of the roster situation. If Wright is not going, just Malik and Kidd, then the trade brings the total roster to 16, including Van Horn. That's not even allowed temporarily, correct? So there will have to be a simultaneous trade or a third team added to bring the roster back to 15, unless they flat out waive someone first. I can't imagine them waiving Armstrong with Harris not even back from injury yet.

    Any guesses?

    I'm pretty sure Van Horn can still screw this deal over, it's just that the general thought is why would anyone give up 4mil to get off your ass and fly to go get it.

    Then again, Kidd and Kmart were calling him out on being a big white puss. I'm sure that angried up KVH some.

    I hate this deal. Basically we're giving up an all-star point guard and 2 decent players for Harris and most likely a very late first rounder. Thorn couldn't do any better?

    Diop = Marc Jackson v2

    That would be kinda funny. Van Horn and McKie could spend their time on the bench at games discussing their retirement investments.

    2 first rounders! and calling Wright and Malik - decent players?..... but maybe you're right. maybe we should have waited more till our all-star point guard gets younger and his value goes up.

    Diop is much better defensively than Jackson and not much worse offensively.

    It's Kidd and a worthless hump for Harris, TWO first rounders, a first round pick who is a fringe prospect and at least $7M in future cap space. And, no, Thorn can't do better.

    And how is Diop anything like Marc Jackson? I'd say he's almost exactly the opposite.

    ... It's not 7M in future cap space. Kidd was coming off the books, while Hassell would still be on it. So he actually eats up 4M in space that goes towards the Luxury tax. With Carter, RJ, Harris & a resigned Krstic or whatever he can bring in a sign and trade? Perhaps Miller via trade? They won't have cleared enough cap to sign anyone.
