I've heard this elsewhere and Ric Bucher reported it as well The deal that is being discussed is West and a second for Yakhouba Diawara, Von Wafer and first It would be a steal for the Nuggets and help them. Apparently this is the Nuggets backup deal if they can't get Mike Miller
Hm. This sounds like a good deal for the Nuggets. Delonte is a good defender, right? ...and shooter? They could use someone like that off the bench.

Of course, Karl is still the coach...

Just because of that strange rule coaches have implanted in their brains that the Veteran must play ahead of the young guys.
Delonte would be huge for us. Isn't he the league leader in blocks among gaurds?? i heard something like that. Anyway, i would love miller, but west would be great too.

He is not a very good man-to-man defender, but he makes a lot of hustle plays such as diving on the floor, sneaking in for rebounds, playing the passing lanes, taking the occasional charge, and he can block shots for a guard. That type of mentality is great, but it also works against him as he is fairly injury prone due to his reckless style of play. He isn't a guy you really want running your offense, because he simply can't do it, but he can get the ball across halfcourt and he wouldn't have to be the primary ballhandler with Iverson alongside him. The best thing about Delonte, though, is his personality. He is funny as hell, and he'll keep the guys loose at all times. At the same time, he means business on the court. I think he'd fit beautifully in Denver, and I hope this happens. Delonte is a very solid basketball player, he's just in a bad situation in Seattle.
