And if a 2nd round exit? Hitting the standard, baby!!

I think the talent is there to make the playoffs (we've been terrible so far, and a 7th seed), all it depends on is if the pieces can develop synergy without Kidd's glue there.

He hasn't been glue this season, that's for sure.

After watching the Giants, I want the Nets to make the playoffs. The East is a lot like the NFC. You never know.

Honestly if we add Mike Miller to this roster I think we may shock some people.

    PG: Devin Harris, Marcus Williams
    SG: Vince Carter, Mike Miller
    SF: Richard Jefferson, Maurice Ager
PF: Nenad Krstic, Sean Williams, Stromile Swift
    C: Josh Boone, Desanga Diop

    Depth and Talent = surpirse.

It all comes down to how quickly (and well) Devin Harris meshes with the team. Normally, I'd say it would depend on how well he masters the offense, but with Frank's kindergarten scheme, that won't be the biggest obstacle. I do think that they'll make it though.

Yeah, but the Finals is nothing like the Super Bowl.

With that said, I'm really excited to see the new guys in action.

Who knows yet, but it looks less likely if Bibby is really on the Hawks.

it'll be a rough few first games with the new guys, but I think it will honestly work out and we can get a 2nd round exit, to which Rod Thorn says: "damn"

    No.

They will have a comparable record (over the remaining games) to the Knicks.

Way to early to tell, but I'd have to say no at this point.

The Nets have a terrible schedule coming up. I think I'd prefer to see Carter get surgery or just tank and Dallas miss the playoffs, so the Nets end up with the #7-9 and the #14 picks.

With how awful the Eastern Conference is, I wouldn't doubt it. At this point, 3 teams beneath .500 will make the playoffs. With the decent talent on the roster, I don't see why you can't. Though, is there really a point? If you go in as the 7th or 8th seed, you get swept by the Celts or Pistons more than likely. If that happens, then you might as well miss the playoffs and get a shot at the top pick in what looks to be a loaded draft.

I expect teams in the east to make some moves to get better, like the Hawks. I wouldn't be suprise if Philly make a good trade.

I don't see them making the playoffs, however, I am looking forward to the Boone vs Williams vs Diop vs Krstic vs the other scrub Nets bigs threads
