Blu-Ray looks better. They both are an upgrade, but HD-DVD used some components from DVD which made their format cheaper. -Petey
I have a PS3 and to be honest with you I don't really see the huge deal with these new players. Whether it being on a regular television or HDTV I can't find any need to dish out so much cash for a film or show on Blu-ray that I can pick up on regular DVD for half the price. The only thing I've bought so far on Blu-ray is Planet Earth and that's because it isn't available on regular DVD format.
I had no idea, but anyway I paid less for it on Blu-ray in-store at Fry's. I don't buy electronics/films/games online unless they are difficult to find, so it worked out fine. Thanks though.
Is it an amazing series? I've been contemplating buying it. I love Fry's, but the one in my area is about 40 minutes south of me. Best Buy isn't supposed to price match them, but I got hookups there so I get it done. Usually Fry's is impossible to beat, price wise.
Yeah, Fry's tends to have the best prices due to their anti-theft policy at the exits. It can be a hassle on busy days, but in the end it is worth it. Less theft and having your own trucking system = lower prices. Simple enough. As for Planet Earth, do yourself a favor and purchase it ASAP. You may actually feel ashamed for missing out for so long. That's how I felt.
