Tito Ortiz has supposedly made an open casting call for people with petty squabbles who want to settle their scores in an MMA fight in SoCal. Sounds a little like "So You Wanna Fight?!" which IIRC has lead to at least one death. In other news, the Arnold Classic 2008, a sporting festival that has included various martial arts in the past, will include amateur MMA this year. Good news is we may have at least one powerful Republican in the MMA corner--especially somebody close to John McCain, who has softened his stance on MMA since sanctioning.
Wait! Tito's Reality show gets better and better! LMAO <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>This is an official mailing that came out today on behalf of Tito Ortiz. Casting ASAP email UFCshowcasting@gmail.com with a phone number and picture *$1000 each if picked for the show, and prize on top of that to the winner!!*** It’s hard to really know what to make of this. The idea does seem far-fetched. However, I’ll hold off judgment until I learn more. Tito is definitely a great marketer, but here are just a lot of questions on the show: Will a network get behind the venture? Will real people want to participate? Is this a one day course? Will this be filmed for a weekly series? Will it be Internet only? Hopefully, we’ll get some more answers soon.</div> Gawd I'd actually consider watching this trainwreck of an idea just to see how bad it can get..
Randy is also starting his own show based out of the Xtreme Couture gym. With Fedor's show, that is a lot of new MMA on television, but not much variation on the format the UFC and Spike devised for TUF.
