I've been a big fan of his athletism and strength, he just doesn't know how to play the game.
I can't see us getting Marco, we'd be too crowded at the wings. I hope this trade is going down, though. Dixon and Graham for Pietrus is a sweetheart deal.
Have you guys watched Peitrus play? He's got the body and athletic ability to be good but the guy does not know how to play basketball. As a W's fan he is extremely frustrating to watch. He'll make a nice steal then put his head down and run someone over. Or he'll hit a big 3 then commit a stupid fould and give it back. I consider it a positive when his production just cancels out his mental mistakes. I think of this trade as addition by subtraction. How has Graham been for you? I haven't seen many raps games but when he came out I wanted the Warriors to pick him. He seems to be really athletic and has the potential to be a great defender. He also seems like he should be a good finisher on the break. Why hasn't he reached his potential?

This would be an awesome trade. We get a great back-up SF who can score and we lose 2 guys who don't get enough burn. If we can throw in Baston and maybe get a second round pick, I'll be even happier.

He's got a great body, but still hasn't learned how to use it. He can finish around the rim and he can hit the spot-up J on occasion, but there's no dribbling ability to connect the two (he gets so many offensive fouls). And on defense, he still gets lost. Like I said earlier, this trade would be a garbage for garbage kind of thing. I think both teams would have the mindset of "anything could be better than those dudes." And there's always the chance that the player needed a change of scenery to fulfill their potential.
Joey will provide us with a couple highlight poster dunks once in awhile but he doesnt really fit well in our system and does not do what we had envisioned him doing and that is defending elite SF and grabbing boards and slashing. I would welcome this deal with open arms!
I am being completely honest here. Pietrus is the dumbest basketball player I have ever seen at the NBA level and I haven't even seen a dumber one in college. Most HS juniors and seniors are smarter than he is. He is a basketball retard. He hasn't improved much since his first year in the league, shooting is inconsistent, his handle is as good as most PFs' handles. He is, however, a good rebounder and shotblocker. His man defense went from being freaking awesome a few years back to being horrible, he can't stop himself from reaching and fouling constantly. I honestly will not believe that Graham is as dumb as Pietrus until I see it myself. As a W's fan I don't really like this trade. Seems like a trade for the sake of a trade but we have to pay Graham for next season whereas Pietrus expires this season.
If I said we'd trade Graham for the fifth season of Night Court on DVD, how would that make you feel about him?
