Obviously, they're talking about the Kidd trade. And comparing Dallas to the other Western teams, and talking about how the Lakers got Gasol, and how Dallas was talking to NJ since before the Gasol trade.
Mark Cuban just mentioned that Dallas was discussing a deal with NJ involving Jason Kidd, prior to Gasol being traded to LA. Wasn't this the same guy that said no trades were happening? The moral of the story: Smokescreens!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (insider @ Feb 4 2008, 06:33 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Don't ever believe that Mark Cuban or even Avery Johnson is not looking at Jason Kidd. As good as Harris could get, he will be no Jason Kidd. Harris is not the point that can put them over the hump, not now, not in 5 years. Nowitzki needs another superstar on his side. A high caliber player who can lead. Jason Kidd can elevate Nowitzki to the next level. I really don't think that last years loss to the Warriors in the first round was a fluke. And I don't think that this team can get past the second round come playoff time. San Antonio remains to be the team to beat. Phoenix is a team that can beat anybody but can also lose to any team. The Lakers has made a big acquisition in Gasol but is still another peice away. New Orlean has been the big surprise of the season but will be one of the first ones to go home after the 1st round. There's just too many teams in the west that can compete with the Mavs right now. Dallas is primed to win and should go after Kidd. The season is half over, the clock is ticking and ball is in Mark Cuban's hands. So the big question is, what is he going to do with it?</div> I said this a few weeks ago.
