The Nets had a very specific strategy when it comes to defensive rebounds--Twin's job was solely to box out, and allow Kidd and Carter to crash the boards. It's no surprise that when Collins was on the court over the years, the Nets were one of the better teams on the defensive boards, measured by percentge of opportunities, even though COllilns himself didn't get many. Memphis may have a different strategy. I assume that the offensive boards came right to him; on the offensive boards, it is every man for himself, and Collins doesn't jump or move well as everyone knows. The Nets have never been a good offensive rebounding team, until the development of Josh Boone.

Frank just defined the guys role as a defender and big body......he hammered it into Collins, took all of his offensive confidence away.
Lets not go nuts until we've seen this a few games in a row. Collins had his streak of offensive showings (10 points) once a season w/ the Nets too. -Petey
Just looked up Collins stats for his 5 games in Memphis, yup, it's still the same guy. Two games ago, he submitted his typical 1pt, 1 reb, 5 fouls, 12 minutes game.
good game, not going to get jealous, every once in ahile he would have a decent offensive game like the 5-5 against orlando but the memphis fans at BBB still hate the guy
