Diop is far superior to Stro at defense and rebounding.

I agree with you on the players we need to resign....but your to generous with money.

Kristic wont get a deal in the 8-10 million dollar age no matter if its an option....

He is gonna probably get a 3 year 12-15M dollar deal......Thorn wont committ that much money to a player who hasnt shown he is fully recovered from a very serious injury.

and BOKI if we can give him a short contract that comes of the books quick....i mean dont forget BOKI is turning 29 soon....giving 4 years is wayyyy to much.....i say boki at 2 years 7 million and 3rd year team option at 4.5M making the contract 3yr 11.5 million</div>
Nazr Mohammed makes 6 million a year
Drew Gooden makes 7 million a year
Nene makes 10 million a year
Anthony McDyess makes 6.5 million a year
Troy Murphy makes 10 million a year
Dan Gadzuric makes almost 7 million a year
Raef Lafrentz makes 12 million a year

Mikki Moore signed for 3 years 18 million...
if you don't think Nenad is getting more than that your crazy...

    3 years at 12 million?

Sorry dude...maybe 10 years ago but not in today's NBA...where players sign for the full MLE and don't even play...

Nenad bare minimum is 3 years 21 million...

As for Boki...he's 27...turns 28 in JULY...not young but not exactly an old timer...a 4 year contract would mean he would be done at 32...not to bad a hit really. It's funny cause 5 years ago role players were playing into there late 30s but everyone wants to forget about that now because of fascination with youth...

22 million over 4 years is 5.5 million a year which is less than the MLE...you want argue 4 years at 18? fine...but people need to stop thinking that anyone that doesn't start should be make 3 or 4 million a year...cause that's not the case...rotation players IE your top 9 players should be making over 4 million dollars a year...people who don't see the court are the guys who make anywhere between 750K and 2 million a year.

That's the financial trend in the NBA...deal with it.

Yes, Stro is far superior at pouting, missing assignments and making really dumb plays

Frank loves the superior defensive player. Not a matter of favoritism on this forum, or anything like that, it's just how it is, and what we're used to...

Also, I believe we'll re-sign Krstic and Diop, let Armstrong go (because he deserves better), and let Boki go because he sucks.

I think we'll go for swingmen in the draft. If possible. Hopefully, we'll pick up on a steal. Ya never know!

Stro isn't even superior to him in any other way, except high-flying dunks.

are shooting, scoring, and passing no longer a part of the game of basketball?

Listen im not arguing with you about anything....but i think paying kristic at 3 years 24M - 30M is much more then i think we should spend. Don't get me wrong.....im all for Kristic to be in a Nets uniform.....maybe he should sign for the qualifying offer...for one year to prove he is healthy and can return to old form before committing such salary to him....i kno i suggested 3yrs 12-15 M for kristic....but if they give him a short contract i would be okay at 3yrs 18M....

    the examples you threw out

Nazr Mohammed makes 6 million a year - was signed in desperation by detroit because they lost Wallace.
    only makes 5.6M this year

Drew Gooden makes 7 million a year - in the past 5 years only missed 8 games and is a consistent 11pts 8rbs a night...he only makes 6.4M this year and 7.1M next year

Nene makes 10 million a year...Nene makes 8.8M this year and his contract only hits 10M in 2009/2010
was given this contract after a season coming of his injury and avg 12 and 7 at 24 years old.

Anthony McDyess makes 6.5 million a year - deserves his money for his role

Troy Murphy makes 10 million a year - only makes 9.2M this year and if i remember correctly a 15 and 10 player with potential when he got his contract..

Dan Gadzuric makes almost 7 million a year - only makes 5.4M this year only makes 7.2M in his final year of contract which is 2010/2011

Raef Lafrentz makes 12 million a year - In his old days was a 14 and 10 guy who blocked 2 shots a game....injuries took over....but he got his contract way before kristic was in the league

Mikki Moore signed for 3 years 18 million.. who knos why the kings gave him this money....he is only worth i thought 2yrs 8 mill and a 3rd year option

I was wrong about Boki's age but still giving him a 4 year deal at what you said 22M...to a inconsistent foward that can be easily replaced is nuts.....if he wants to stay....3yr deal for 12-13M is tops for him....that gives him a 1.5M raise for 3yrs.....

Nenad krstic averaged 13.5 and 6.5 in 05-06
    in 06-07 he averaged 16.4 and 6.8

over the last 5 games he's averaged 5.4 and 6.2...
I think it's reasonable to believe he'll kick it up to 9 and 7 by the end of the season...
come contract time he'll be judged from pre injury form and from February and beyond...

The deal I proposed was two years at 7.5 each with a team option for a 3rd at 10 mil...basically making it 25 million max...that last 10 million represents money he either earns by averaging 15 and 10 + by that time or we send him packing...it's an incentive package.

As for Nachbar...his contract was based off of mins he never got...he's averaging 10pts a game as a bench player, and actually contributes defensively...personally 4.5.-5.5 million is fair for him...

If Brian Scalbrine makes 3 million a year in the NBA than Boki Nachbar should get around 5 million...

they are, but i doubt stro is superior to anyone in those categories, which makes my point valid
