O'Neal can opt out of his contract at the end of the season

Didn't even realize that. Does this make the Carter trade sound better or worse, with the possibility of O'Neal leaving?

 

It makes it look a little better, but you really think he'd give up 40M over the next two years? it isn't like he couldget that on the market.

Petey would turn down a three-way with Paris and Christina before that dude opts out.

 

If we trade for JO,we might as well tank the season.

didnt he say he was going to turn it down and become aFA earlier this year or something?

 

Isn't him becoming a free agent a good thing? We get rid of Carters contract and also O'Neals two years ahead of time.

 

I agree with Petey, JO is currently viewed as damaged goods, I doubt he will opt out of a 45 mill contract.

 

Eh, I was just figuring JO would want to go a la Carter, and sacrifice some money to get a contract with more length.
