I know Rod Thorn loves bigs and Diop can be a great addition for the future but right now I believe we can squeeze one more draft pick from contender or in Orlando's case, possibly JJ Redick by trading away Diop. Seriously look at the line up, Boone, Kristic, Area 51, Swift, Maglore and possibly JO... seriously how are they going to split mins?

Can't be done if he's packaged with other players, I think.

yeah but Diop could be sent packing for a player like Reddick...actually makes a lot of sense.

Except for the fact that Reddick sucks, and we could probably pick up someone better such as Dooling and/or Bogans.

Move him for a TE/expiring and 2nd round pick.

Makes sense to me, pick up another late pick, package the 3 and move up a few slots to snag the next stud.

If I'm Golden State I'd be calling Rod now that I may have to deal with Shaq in a playoff series.

Diop can actually get up and down the floor and still big enough to body up Shaq. Shaq is going to abuse them in a playoff series.

I like the kid. Looks like he put in the time in the gym, dropped 40lbs in an offseason a few years ago. Waiting on a bigger deal. Not sure he works in the Nets long term plans with Boone/Sean Williams on their rookie deals, Swift on the books for past this year, move the kid for something, perhaps build some good will... who knows.

All moot if the Nets want him long term though. He's be a great backup 4/5. Only 26 years old.

I like Diop, but I'm deff. in favor for trading him. We allready have tons of bigs and it'll be hard for us to resign him past this year. I'd call Orl and ask bout a Redick and 2nd for Diop swap, I'd also be calling GS, Port, Hou, and all other western teams and hope to get a expiring/TE and a pair of 2nds or so.

lets get something out of him, he deff. has value.
