Watching SportsCenter right now, and I love the praise Legler is giving us. He said that we are a very good team and if the Suns run into us in the playoffs, that there is no way that they're going to beat us. Gotta love that, even if it is coming from ESPN.
Phoenix is 16-15 against the West now, how sad. Shaq envokes Randy Moss' name after the game. Heh, he wishes...

We'll have as good of a 1-2 combo in the post that you can have and obviously, we'll have Kobe, who showed no ill-effects of the pinkie injury tonight.
Holy shit the most exciting game of the season. Absolutely amazing. Take that Shaq, take that Phoenix! Lakers are here, and they're here to play! I cannot wait until Bynum returns, we will be unstoppable. We got destroyed on the boards but we still managed to win. Gasol is ****ing awesome. White Mamba was great. I don't know what's gotten into Kobe, but it seems like the pinky injury only motivated him to play better. Great win. Holy shit I'm so excited right now. LMAO @ RAJA BELL GETTING OWNED BY SHAQ

He's coming back in Late March or April now but I don't know what to think about him. I hope it works out for him and we are able to build chemistry again.

He's taking his time to recover, and from everything I've read, he's been doing great. It's just the swelling that's been taking longer than expected. And even if he returns in April, we'll still have a couple of games before the playoffs for him to shake off the rust. Stop being so negative Huevon and enjoy the win! Btw, Sasha is the machine, he is the TERMINATOR!
I'm not at all worried about Bynum. When he gets back, I don't think we're going to skip a beat at all. His main role before getting hurt was to clean the glass and get the easy hoops, and that'll be what he does when he gets back, and that's the great thing about him. He's not going to demand any touches because a lot of his work comes off put backs, working the offensive glass, and alley-oops. Plus, with how good we're playing without him, he can take as long as he wants/needs to come back, just as long as he's back before the playoffs, that way everyone gets the chance to readjust, which again, I don't think will take too much to do.
Great game. I was so worried when Gasol was shaken up for a bit in the fourth quarter. Shaq called Kobe the best player in the game. He said he's been saying that since he was in LA. Ouch, Dwyane. It's okay, not the first time Shaq has reneged on his word. Mbenga gets punk'd a lot. Enforcer my ass.
Playoff intensity in a regular season game just after the all-star break. Loved it! Kobe is banged up, Bynum out. The flipside is Shaq looked VERY rusty, as he's been out with an injury for quite a while in his own right. I expect his game to improve by playoff time, though he had a respectable 15/9 (or was it 15/10?) in about 30 minutes. This is also the first game he's played for Phoenix - they'll figure out how to play together better by playoff time. Amare was amazing. I thought he looked small, though, out there with Shaq and Gasol. Lakers had very nice balance, and I'm forever pissed at Paxson for not dealing for Gasol last season. The things he's doing for LA are exactly what the Bulls need.
In defense of Gasol with the rebounding, it was just a high scoring game without much rebounding. Even the highest assist total isn't so hot with 3. Besides Odom with 11 boards, Kobe is 2nd with six. More offense than board collecting tonight. The fact that Shaq and Amare were cleaning up the boards too made it difficult. Two big dudes in the middle. Once Bynum returns Im sure the rebound totals will go up significantly.
Kobe had a great game last night. I liked that block he had on Diaw in the first quarter. He stopped the fast break easy point. I also think that he block shot from Shaq but Kobe had an outstanding game.
