    1. Why does Lawrence continually play horrible combinations of players? Where is Swift? He can hit a jumper, rebounds, and can Play Defense!

    2. Swift and Williams together to me is a great combination of athleticism and defensive ability.

    3. Josh Boone...where to begin! I can't believe this guy starts..he is a bench player at best...reminds me of the Jason Collins saga all over again..(a role player that starts because our coach is dumb) he is slow and has bad hands...and is absolutely clueless on defense....oh and when he does get fouled he air balls foul shots! The only reason he has decent numbers is because are team isn't that good!

    4. Back to the coach, our strategy is horrendous...we run the same exact play on offense every single time...how predictable

    SO FRUSTRATING! [IMG]

    1) Swift is out with a stomach virus.
    2) Swat has 5 fouls
    3) Josh Boone may be off offensively but he still has 6 pts and 15 rebounds...those are starter numbers in this league...
    4) our PG is a brand new starter, we have a brand new rotation...everything is scaled back.

Josh Boone is one of our best pick setters and that is the offense we a running. He is defensively doing a great job.

    No complaints.

Anyone else thought of Barkley saying "turrible" when they read the thread title?

I wasn't even talking about this game necessarily...but that's ok, lets talk about it...Boone has 15 rebounds...wow! Because he plays the whole game..is he doing anything that any other tall person with some muscle couldn't do? Seriously? Do you watch him play defense? People go right around him...he got beat on a back door screen that could have lost us the game in regulation tonight...he starts running down on offense when the shot is fired like VC...I mean VC fine..but Josh Boone? What is he going to do get the ball on the break and drive? We need to trade him and Boki and Mags for Miller and get some real shooting ability...we have enough bigs here!

A lot of people are gonna disagree. Boone has been one of our most consistent players ever since we've started him.

thanks! I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, I'm just simply pointing out most athletes in the NBA with Boone's height could set screens and rebound...its the rebounds in critical times..defensive position..etc that I hate...but hey you could also blame that on coaching..

on a side note Marcus Williams is looking like the real deal tonight...now whats going to happen with Harris? Marcus could be a starter with time

Welcome giantcuseman! Glad to see another fan of Syracuse! Love the username, btw.

I gotta say, Josh Boone is probably our best big man right now. [IMG] He's the best rebounder, the best post defender, a good shotblocker, the most knowledgable big man, and he's got some chemistry with the other guys. And that's the reason why he's starting over Swift and Williams (plus the fact that Swift is new, and Sean's a rookie).

And I'm sure with time, he'll learn the things that you've mentioned he has deficiencies in - remember, he's still a young player. Can't say I blame Frank for starting him.

I'll never understand these "let's bitch about the coach after a win" posts.

Especially when it's somebody who obviously didn't watch the game (Where's Swift???? He's the bestest! Frank is dum. UUUUuuHHHhhhh.)

Good point about Boone not being a good rebounder and that being Frank's fault.

I learn so much on this board.

I kinda wish that Byron Scott was back with the Nets, because at that time I still felt that it wasn't his fault the team was doing bad. And now seeing what kidd did in basically forcing the trade it shows me that it wasn't Scotts fault.

I say that i wish byron was here because he would know what to do with the talent that we have now. After last season and so far with this season I have not like any of his choices in starts and substitutions.

Boone is a good call as a starter. He is consistant and probably would play well with MWillaims because they played at UCONN together.

We just need to get Swift in the rotation and play Hassell alittle bit more because it looks like there is some young talent on this team that could flourish with the right amount of playing time and competition.

There is almost competition at every position except for SF and SG those belonging to RJ and VC. But for the other positions those spots are open.

My line up would look like this for now:

    PG Harris\MWillaims
    SG VC\Hassell
    SF RG\Boki
    PF Swift\SWillaims
    C Kristic\Boone\Diop

This guy is out of his mind.

15 Boards, no one else has done that so far with the nets.

Hate to break to you, but JB is the best big the nets have right now.

As others have allready said to you, i will agree and say you are home, but your light's are not on.

Also this poster lost any crediatbilty ( not that he/she ever had any) when they called JB Slow. I guess this one lives on fantsy Island, as he knows swift will never start, so he has to make false claims on the players in front of him.

But you want to know something, WTF Cares what you say? JB anit going to be moved from the starters job. You claim that anit big can get 15 Boards, when was the last time your boy Swift ever did? If I have to hate Swift cause of you, i will really hate you.

Boone still has some improvement to do. For instance, too often he loses his man on defense and allows an easy dunk. However, he is just a kid who missed half of his rookie season (and played little when healthy). For someone with his limited experience, his future looks bright, so long as he continues to work on his weaknesses. It's too early to judge him, other than to recognize his obvious contributions and growth.

I wonder why he goes for layups at times instead of just putting it down. And hopefully w/ time he gets more comfortable w/ the ball.
