Not everything in the world is associated with the NJ Nets. But that probably is. [IMG]

That's a dis on himself. He got those bad habits while not playing hard and stealing his paychecks from the Nets.

A dis on himself to be sure but with a whiff of "we didn't play D in Jersey, I got some bad habits."

Now that's a much more direct, conscious admission that he didn't play hard here this year than Vince's statement that he didn't work as hard [at improving his game] as he should have. Yet we all know that the only people who will call him a "quitter" and a fraud are a minority of the fans of NJ, certainly not half the national media, like those that head-hunted Vince for a statement not nearly as damning.

Also note that the Spurs picked up Kurt Thomas.

So now the Mavs at best are the fifth or sixth best team in the west

    Spurs Lakers Hornets Utah Suns.

As I been saying and Stephen A Smith pointed out losing Diop will hurt them come playoff time.

Also Kidd can not handle fast guards I said this and you see Paul proved it. Wait playoff time it's going to be worse. The Mavs are going to need more than JKidd</div>

Don't forget about the Rockets. And maybe even the Nuggets. Holy shit, the West is so stacked...it's almost unfair.

Or maybe that's a good thing...because we get to make the playoffs every year. [IMG] [IMG]

Me too. The only people I want to see getting a ring are the players on the Nets, which he isn't anymore.

I do hope the Mavs make the playoffs as the 8th seed. I want that pick!
    </div>

I thought if the Mavs DO NOT make the playoffs this season, then we get TWO UNPROTECTED picks for 2009 and 2011, instead of a protected 2008 and unprotected 2010...so shouldn't we be rooting for the Mavs to fall off the playoff picture? The 2009 and 2011 would be better picks since they're both unprotected and their franchise players Nowitzki and Kidd would be aging vets taking up much of their cap...

A lot of hate on Kidd. A sad realization of the fact that the Nets best player (since Dr. J) has move on to another team. Understandable but unnecessary. Its a situation that should have been dealt with last season. Its just not working anymore. Its time for a change. The Nets has gotten back a player that would be a part of Brooklyn. A Harris, Carter, Williams, Krstic lineup is nothing to laugh about. Although the Kidd era may be the highlight of the Nets history for a few more years, Harris will lift the Nets from its current slide. Jason Kidd wanted to finish his career as a Net but certain things just don't work out. For the time he wore a Nets uniform, he performed, he left everything on the floor. I think he deserves respect.

why should respect giving oh because of the past??? That's similar to respecting your girl because she was loyal to you in the past but recently she did you dirty.

The past is past and the present is present. Also to your past comment about Kidd turning it around. Yea they might win some games but come playoff time it will be a different story and you think Diop didn't play a big role on the Mavs or that Thomas going to the Spurs doesn't mean nothing wait playoff time.

I loved Mark Jackson making subtle jabs at Jason Kidd...

How did everyone come to the conclusion that is what he meant? Or more like he sagged off his man to help in the post and crash the boards?

Would be pretty comical if the Nets finish with a higher seed in the east than Dallas in the west!

Right now, John Thompson is talking to Kidd and Nowitzki on TNT. Haha.

Unfortunately, it's probably not as good as you had hoped.
