..finished with 8 pts 6 rebs 5 asts and 6 turnovers. I don't think any Dallas fan pictured losing by double digits, but there's small things you have to look at. First of all, Kidd and and team aren't really familiar with each other, considering they had only one good practice together. Obviously Kidd won't be in total sync with his new teammates, and not to mention he only knows a handful of plays. Even the best players need to learn to play with each other, so it's going to take some time. A few practices, and we'll be seeing an improvement in how Kidd and the rest of the squad operate.

Another important thing is, Avery Johnson needs to manage Kidd's minutes better. Kidd only got a brief 3 minutes of rest in the first half. Another brief 3 minutes of rest in the 3rd, and was taken out of the game at the 4:43 mark in the fourth. Jason wants to play, but consider his age. I'm sure as time passes Avery will begin to see it as well.

A few more things. I was very disappointed in what I saw from Josh Howard, today. He was bricking shots from all over the place, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He did come off an injury, right? I also didn't like what Terry was doing in today's game. He was over-dribbling the ball too often, and I hope that it's not a habit.

Dallas's offense is much different from NJ's; there is much more significant ball movement. The thing is, it might be better to change it slightly, so you can better utilize Kidd's skill. Otherwise, you're just making it hard for Jason to do what he does best.

Put aside all that, and give props to NO. They were absolutely killing it.

I think it takes more time for a PG to adjust than anyone else.

I wouldn't make much of it until a couple days.

Mavs fans shouldn't at all get worried. Its practically a dry run for Kidd. The last few days has been draining for him. Like what the Joker said, he knows just a few plays. And not taking anything away from the Hornets, they played very well and took advantage of the situation. And Paul was terrific. But like I said, this game doesn't prove anything. Expect Kidd to bounce back in the next few games. Its an exciting time for Dallas. The Kidd trade will pay off.

On another note, why didn't Stackhouse play?

Good question. Better to go with Stack than George.

I thought Stack was still injured? Idk.

Anyways, I wouldn't look too much into this loss. It was, after all, the Hornets. Top of the West right there.
