He put up a great performance, but would you still trade him before tomorrow's deadline? Sure, he's been inconsistent this season, but maybe it's worth keeping him around, for now. Let's get down on our knees and pray that Kidd's trade motivates him for the rest of year.

If he plays like he did tonight, I definitely would love to see him remain here. But that's a big "if."

Keep him. He's gonna play better when there isn't anyone blaming him for why the team is losing.

If we're gonna trade him we'd be better served waiting til the offseason...
I have a feeling that without Jkidd his numbers will go up dramatically increasing his value.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I honestly believe that most of Carter's struggles have been due to his ankle, and he's significantly improved his game the past three weeks; keep him. Hell even if you want to move him you should want to do so after the season since his stock is rising as his play improves.

This game could have been thin ice which held us now but breaks as we further out onto it.

I don't think now we can honestly trade him after such a emotional win.

I'd give him a hug and a butt pat [IMG] after tonights performance...

I think we should unload him during the offseason if we can...

Hell who knows, maybe he goes on a tear like he did in '05 and we can unload him for something in the offseason or at least have the option to.

He's our most marketable player at the moment. I don't see management trading him until summer at the earliest.

Look, if he gets dealt the Nets are going to suck.

They will just have to do what I do all the time, live in denial and hope everything works out at some undisclosed future date.

I sincerely hope the Nets are not basing their long-term plans on one game in February at home against the Bulls.

I believe the ankle story, and I think it's very likely that Vince will keep up this level of play.

I still don't think he's a championship-level player, or that he's worth his contract, but I do think he'll be worth a lot more this offseason than he's worth right now.

So we should keep him and try to make the playoffs.

I agree with you and anyone else who said this.

If he went now, it'd be too soon. If he went after this offseason, it'd be too late. It has to be this offseason. That's what I believe.
