If the Mavs make the playoffs,we gon have 2 first round picks.Would u trade that to get Elton Brand? We heard the man(Thorn). He said,he's not thinkin' about rebuilding right now.

    Yes, doubt the Clippers would.

Isn't he a free agent after this season?

He can be. Like Shawn Marion and Ron Artest, among others, he has a player option for the 08-09 season.

That's where the stockpile of bigs the Nets have could come in handy, in a sign and trade for someone like Brand. If we could get him for this year's two first rounders and Boone or Swift, I'd do it. With a low post force of that magnitude, you would really have to like the makeup of this team for next year.

ETA: Scratch that. I just totally forgot about the salary situation. We'd have to give up RJ or VC to do it. And the only way I'd give up RJ is if we got Magette or Thornton back.

I would if we didn't sign him long term.

hey Future welcome to S2! If you have any questions about the site shoot me a PM

Just a heads up: CelticBalla is a very informed poster. Plus, checking their salary status isn't that hard a thing to do. More importantly, being a non-Nets fan doesn't make someone a bandwagon-er, nor is that relevent to knowing someone's contract status.

    Love your username haha

Welcome to S2, SWTF51 (haha that's awesome with the WTF)

Chill out with that, haha. CelticBalla's cool. Foolish for being a fan of Boston and G'Town, but he's cool nonetheless. Let's keep this a friendly rivalry...

Besides, SU kicked G'Town's asses last time they played [IMG] YEAH I went there! haha.
