unless it is a multi-player deal, only Amir Johnson would work. The Pistons aren't going to trade McDyess, and everyone else has a salary under $2.8. I don't think they can trade Premoz and herrmann, but I could be wrong (two of the three highest remaining salaries).

I would love a future 2nd round pick.

They acquired Brezec and Hermann on Dec 12th. The 60 days is past so they can be moved.

I wouldn't mind Hermann and Murray and cut Murray. Or could be Thorn's excuse to cut KVH?

Can you trade a player for cash only? If so, and if Nets can't squeak a second rounder and trade exception for him, then do it. I really want the Nets to try to claim Brent Barry off waivers, as he will reportedly be waived around March 1st.

I don't think they can't trade a player for just cash. A player for a pick and cash can be done if the other team is below the cap or has a trade exception. Speaking of which, the Nets can use one of the trade exceptions to claim someone off of waivers--they did it a few years ago when they picked up that guy from Detroit, who was upset by it.

Only teams with TEs big enough to take Magloire are Golden St and Phoenix.

    Elden Campbell.

What a waste of the TE.

Then I remember Thorn trying to force the Pistons to trade back for him.

    Where is that Rod Thorn?

Right, but Thorn wanted to use Campbell in the playoffs (although NI believes that it was just setup all along). He just whined about wanting to finish his career with the Pistons and didn't want to get into shape to play for the nets--they placed him on waivers as some administrative move, I can't remember the details.

I would welcome a trade with Detroit. Hayes is a nice player, so is Herrman.
