PG-Kirk Hinrich/Chris Duhon SG-Larry Hughes/Ben Gordon SF-Luol Deng/Thabo Sefolosha PF-Drew Gooden/Andres Nocioini C- Joakim Noah/Tyrus Thomas/Aaron Gray You know, the Bulls are a legitimate 10 deep, I wonder if Boylan should attempt 2 lineups: Hinrich/Thabo/Deng/Tyrus/Gooden Gordon/Hughes/Thabo/Nocioni/Noah Or something like that.
I'm with you on the lineup. It seems like the most logical choice. The only thing that might be different is using Gooden as the center and Thomas as the PF, but I doubt that happens.

I think he's going to provide some of the bulk we need playing next to either Noah or Tyrus that Smith couldn't provide (Smith's only listed at 225 and looks potentially skinnier than that). They addressed a need I've seen all season.
i would really like to see Gray get more time. Not too big of a fan of having Gooden as our main center but it might work. The best part is the bulls are onl;y a few games out of the playoffs and this trade could get us back on track. I think Hughes could bring a lot to this team.

My first inclination would be something to the effect of: 1- Hinrich 30, Duhon 8, Gordon 10 2- Hughes 26, Gordon 22 3- Deng 34, Nocioni 4, Sefolosh 10 4- Thomas 24, Gooden 6, Nocioni 18 5- Gooden 24, Noah 24 I like the frontcourt, I don't like the backcourt so much. Just no way to get Thabo, Duhon and Gordon working there the way they probably merit.

I would let the two of them duke it out and see who wins. If Hughes returns to his Washington form, he'd be a great guard to compliment Kirk and Ben, but I think that's basically a pipe dream. He's played like a broken player for the last two and a half years. At this point, I think Thabo projects out as a better long term compliment to our backcourt. The Bulls definitely have a crisis of abundance. If our team stays the same next year, the difference between our best and tenth player would be pretty small. Has any team had that sort of parity before? I know the Grizzlies of a few years ago come to mind, but Pau was still undeniably the best player on that team.
Like I aid in another thread, the crisis is likely to be solved by Hughes getting hurt But aside from that, it's sort of a crisis of mediocre abundance. It's like when a football team's got 3 QBs who come into camp as the potential starter. Usually that means none of them is really a guy you really feel good about.
