Am I the only one who thinks we should draft just wings in this draft? Personally I think we're good at PG and the frontcourt positions... Unless Hasheem Thabet is available...cause well damn! He's averaging 11pts, 11rebounds and 7 blocks per game...
we dont need thabeet with diop here and yes, we should draft a SF and SG, we have enough young bigs, assuming diop resigns, krstic, sean, boone, diop is enough along with swift if he isnt traded, we need a shooter first and foremost but i am a bit worried since we hardly see any dead eye shooters come straight out of college anymore and we need 3 pt shooting

A couple of points: You can always combine the picks in a trade. Nets tried to do that in 2006 by offering #22 and #23 to the Sonics in hopes of getting #10 so they could select Hilton Armstrong or Saer Sene. (Whew!) Assume it's #15 and #23. How high a lottery pick can you get by combining them in a trade? I would assume no higher than #9 or #10. Is it worth it? At least in the Stefanski era, the Nets went with the best player available and in particular dismissed off-court concerns if they felt the players were worth it. See Williams, 2006 and 2007. That said there are a few bigs who could be sitting there when the Nets pick. Devon Hardin comes to mind. Would they go with him considering all the young bigs already on the roster? They liked him last year after working him out. And they may not know whether they will be able to sign Diop by Draft Night. If the Nets decide to dump Carter on Draft Night, that deal would affect them in two ways: in terms of need and in terms of picks. They may need to give one up or demand one. My dream pick: Nicholas Batum.

Our need is a shooting gaurd like NI said in Nicholas Batum and there is no point of grabbing two mid ones if we can trade up and get a top ten pick.

To think we would had alleviated this problem if we didn't sell our pick in 2004 and draft kmart 2. this is the only time that new ownership has ever truly irked me.
Let's just hope we don't draft the wrong guy (2005), the guy who won't even come to the USA (2004), the guy who did come to the USA but sucked (2003), or draft a second round sleeper but trade him away for cheap (2003).
we should look at my boy Shan foster, his having one heck of a season his shooting lightsout 44.1 percent from the three pt arc and 51.1 field goal. Look at this stats his solid.
